  1. 1. Histological evaluations of mesenchymal stem cell therapy in a preterm IVH rabbit model.

    M1-uppsats, Malmö universitet/Institutionen för biomedicinsk vetenskap (BMV)

    Författare :Emma Tordebrand; [2022]
    Nyckelord :histochemistry; immunofluorescence; immunohistochemistry; intraventricular hemorrhage; mesenchymal stem cells; peroxidase stain; rabbit brain; histokemi; immunfluorescens; immunhistokemi; intraventrikulär blödning; kaninhjärna; mesenkymala stamceller; peroxidasfärgning;

    Sammanfattning : Human mesenchymal stem cell (MSC) therapy has shown neuroprotective effects and improvement on recovery from neonatal intraventricular hemorrhage (IVH). This study focused on histological evaluations of human amniotic fluid MSC therapy during early prenatal life in a preterm IVH rabbit model. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Long-term strength training reverses the effects of aging on skeletal muscle of health elderly men.

    Master-uppsats, Örebro universitet/Institutionen för hälsovetenskap och medicin

    Författare :Muhammad Mustafa Qamar; [2012]
    Nyckelord :Aging; Muscle mass; Muscle plasticity; Long-term strength training;

    Sammanfattning : Introduction:  Aging is related to a gradual decline in skeletal muscle mass, which is associated with morphological modifications such as reduced muscle fiber cross-sectional area and satellite cell content. Data also suggest that a short-term strength training period can be an effective instrument to rejuvenate these morphological parameters and to restore muscle mass. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Glycogen content in different muscle fibre types before and after lengthy anaesthesia in horses

    L3-uppsats, SLU/Dept. of Large Animal Clinical Sciences

    Författare :Holly Cedervind; [2004]
    Nyckelord :equine; anaesthesia; colic; muscle glycogen; histochemistry;

    Sammanfattning : General anaesthesia in horses is often followed by postoperative complications, including myopathy. Many colic patients are compromised by preoperative stressors, such as starvation, trailer rides, physical stress and pain, plus postoperative physical stress in connection with standing up after recumbency.
