    Sammanfattning : The collaborative cross-border region HaparandaTornio has been recognised as the most peaceful border in the world due to its shared history, which can be examined through the common tangible and intangible cultural heritage. The tangible cultural heritage can be investigated through four phases of HaparandaTornio's institutionalisation; (1) the motion of single projects, (2) joint local policy agreements, (3) creating a joint body and (4) continued responsibility of being defined as a Twin City.     Sammanfattning : During the later part of the 13th century, two female convents of the Dominican order were founded in the realm of Sweden, both in the diocese of Linköping. The Dominican order first came to Sweden as early as in the 1220’s, and the history of the brothers’ convents has been described to a much greater extent – at least up to the end of the 14th century –than the history of the sisters.     Sammanfattning : The present ethnographic research explores the socio-economic repercussions of a copper mining operation in Chile on its host community. By examining the development of the relationship between this local community and the mining company since the latter’s arrival, this thesis sheds light on the possible (secondary) impacts of corporate social responsibility (CSR) measures and participatory spaces on intracommunal dynamics.
