21. Upgrade of the Graphitization System for 14C AMS Analyses
Kandidat-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Fysiska institutionenSammanfattning : For decades, accelerator mass spectrometry (AMS) has been used for radiocarbon dating. The background of this technique is outlined along with an in-depth look at the graphitization process used to prepare samples for AMS analysis. LÄS MER
22. Biogasrötning av socker- och foderbetor : Jämförelse av färska, stuklagrade samt ensilerade betor i laboratorieskala
Magister-uppsats, Sektionen för ekonomi och teknik (SET)Sammanfattning : Fossil fuels are affecting our climate negatively and there is a limited amount of them in the world, which leads to the importance of finding alternative fuels. One alternative is biogas, which is produced though a digestion process of different organic materials in a biogasreactor. LÄS MER
23. Fossil pigments and pigment organelles - colouration in deep time
Kandidat-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Geologiska institutionenSammanfattning : Pigmentation is important in all animals and plants, e.g., for protection against radiation, for signalling and as camouflage. The fossil record contains both colourful bird feathers and insect cuticles. LÄS MER
24. Charged pion spectra at high pT in pp collisions at (roten ur) S = 900 GeV, measured by the ALICE TPC
Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Fysiska institutionen; Lunds universitet/Partikel- och kärnfysikSammanfattning : The ALICE Time Projection Chamber (TPC) is used for tracking and measuring momentum and specific energy loss, dE/dx, of charged particles produced in hadron collisions at the LHC. This Master’s dissertation describes the statistical identification of charged hadrons (pions, kaons and protons) on the relativistic rise (transverse momentum pT > 3 GeV/c) of the dE/dx curve of the ALICE TPC. 25. Effekter av näringstillförsel på CO2-utbytet på Fäjemyr
Kandidat-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Fysiska institutionenSammanfattning : During the last century the carbon dioxide, CO2, concentration in our atmosphere has increased because of anthropogenic emissions, mainly from fossil fuel burning. This release of carbon dioxide has caused an increase of the greenhouse effect. LÄS MER
