1. Skalningseffekter av medelstora pölbränder i syrereducerad miljö
Kandidat-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Avdelningen för BrandteknikSammanfattning : This bachelor's thesis focuses on how scaling the pool diameter affects flammable liquids in an oxygen reduction system (ORS). This topic in the study of pool fire behavior in hypoxic air has been only lightly discussed in previous literature. Therefore, the goal of this thesis work is to further broaden the understanding of hypoxic air. LÄS MER
2. Comparing energy efficiency of Leaky integrate-and-fire and Spike response neuron models in Spiking Neural Networks
Kandidat-uppsats, KTH/Skolan för elektroteknik och datavetenskap (EECS)Sammanfattning : Spiking Neural Networks (SNNs) are a type of neural network that is designed to mimic the way neurons function in our brains. While there have been notable advancements in developing SNNs, energy consumption hasn't been studied to the same extent. This gets especially relevant with steadily increasing network sizes. LÄS MER
4. Reconstruction of Fire Spread with a Markov Random Field Mixture Model
Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Matematisk statistikSammanfattning : This thesis revolves around reconstructing fire sizes for historical fires in Jämtgaveln, Sweden based on data of fire scars in trees. We propose a Hidden Markov Model (HMM), where the domain is divided into quadratic grid cells of 250 $\times$ 250 m and with these grid cells we associate a binary Markov random field taking values 0 or 1 corresponding to no fire and fire respectively. 5. Effects of fuel and weather conditions on forest fire behaviour in Southern Sweden in oak dominated forests
Master-uppsats, SLU/Southern Swedish Forest Research CentreSammanfattning : Fire activity is influenced by weather and climate, fuels, ignition agents, and human activities. Fire suppression policy in Sweden resulted in a gradual decrease in the annually burnt areas, changes in fuel loads and a decline in species diversity. LÄS MER
