    Sammanfattning : The purpose of this study was to obtain an in-depth understanding of how the transition from the working life to the life as a retired person was experienced by different elderly in the ages between 60-80 years. To answer the purpose, three questions was designed, how is the transition experienced between working life and retired life? How is social life experienced after retirement? What does social activities has for importance in retirees lives and how does it affects the emotional energy?
