   Sammanfattning : Este trabajo tiene como objetivo principal saber en qué medida los jóvenes de origen chileno que residen en Suecia tienen contacto con su lengua materna, es decir, el español, y cómo influye este contacto en el modo en que se perciben a sí mismos en términos de identidad. Si bien se han realizado estudios sobre la condición de bilingües de los jóvenes hispanohablantes residentes en Suecia y de esta condición en relación con la pertenencia de los integrantes de este grupo social a diferentes identidades, pocos son los que se han centrado en explicar concretamente de qué manera estos jóvenes son bilingües y hasta qué punto su contacto con la lengua materna influye en su identidad.
