  1. 1. Study of a Sauropod Dinosaur Vertebra Found in the Kimmeridgian of Cricqueboeuf (Normandy, France)

    Master-uppsats, Uppsala universitet/Institutionen för geovetenskaper

    Författare :Charlotte André; [2018]
    Nyckelord :Sauropoda; Dinosaurs; Vertebra; Kimmeridgian; Normandy; France; Sauropod; dinosaurie; ryggkota; Kimmeridgian; Normandie; Frankrike;

    Sammanfattning : In 1999 a Kimmeridgian age vertebra of a sauropod dinosaur was discovered directly in a layer of clays from Cricqueboeuf in Normandy, France. The vertebra is now located at the Paleospace museum and was part of an inventory in 2015 as well as the subject of this Master thesis. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Makrofossilanalys av sediment från det tidig-holocena undervattenslandskapet vid Haväng, östra Skåne

    Kandidat-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Geologiska institutionen

    Författare :Katja Heger; [2016]
    Nyckelord :makrofossil; undervattenslandskap; tidig-holocen; Östersjöns utveckling; Earth and Environmental Sciences;

    Sammanfattning : Under havsytan i Hanöbukten vid Haväng på Skånes östkust finns lämningar från ett tidigholocent landskap bevarade. Lämningarna består bl.a. av gyttjor som har avsatts vid lågvattenperioder efter yoldia- respektive ancylusregressionen (11 700-8 000 cal BP). LÄS MER

  3. 3. Palaeoenvironments of the Earliest (Middle Devonian) Tetrapod Trackways from the Holy Cross Mountains, Poland; Locomotion in a Terrestrial Setting?

    Master-uppsats, Uppsala universitet/Institutionen för geovetenskaper

    Författare :Martin Qvarnström; [2015]
    Nyckelord :Tetrapods; palaeoenvironment; trackways; paleosols; microfacies; trace fossils; fin-limb transition; Holy Cross Mountains.;

    Sammanfattning : The palaeoenvironment from which early tetrapods emerged is crucial to comprehend in order to understand the mechanisms that drove and allowed the terrestrialization of vertebrates; one of the most important evolutionary ‘events’ in the history of animals. Nevertheless, much of the terrestrialization is shrouded in obscurity, inter alia, due to scarcity of early tetrapods in the fossil record. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Geomorphological evidence for an ongoing transgression on northwestern Svalbard

    Kandidat-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Geologiska institutionen

    Författare :Kristian Westlund; [2014]
    Nyckelord :sea level; Svalbard; geomorphology; lagoons; estuaries; havsnivå; geomorfologi; laguner; estuarier; Earth and Environmental Sciences;

    Sammanfattning : Rise and fall of the global sea level during Pleistocene and Holocene are mainly caused by glacio-isostatic and glacio-eustatic factors directly linked to the cyclic increase and decrease of the Earth’s ice sheets. Apart from the dominating glacio-isostatic and glacio-eustatic factors, several other components have influenced the global sea level, which complicates the regional sea level curves of the world. 5. 5. Nursing technique and growth environment of Rabbit fish (Siganus guttatus) in the area of Tam Giang lagoon, Thua Thien Hue

    Uppsats för yrkesexamina på avancerad nivå, SLU/Dept. of Animal Nutrition and Management

    Författare :Cecilia Stattin; [2012]
    Nyckelord :Siganus guttatus; Tam Giang lagoon; water environment; nursing systems; economic efficiency;

    Sammanfattning : SummaryIn the area to the east of Hue city, in Vietnam, lays Tam Giang lagoon, one of Asia's largest lagoons, with an area of 22,000 hectares. This lagoon is suitable for aquaculture. One reason for this is because the salinity differs from sweet to salty in different parts of the lagoon. LÄS MER
