   Sammanfattning : I Socialstyrelsens rapport ”Vårdnadsöverflyttning i samband med våld i familjen” som publicerades 2013 framkom att det i många fall tog lång tid för vårdnaden att flyttas från en förälder som dödat den andra föräldern. Detta föranledde regeringen att utreda möjliga lösningar för att vårdnadsöverflyttningen i sådana fall skulle kunna göras snabbare, och resulterade i införandet av 6 kap 10 d § föräldrabalken som möjliggör förordnande av en tillfällig vårdnadshavare för barnet i fall där en särskilt förordnad vårdnadshavare bör utses men det inte finns någon lämplig för uppdraget.
