    Sammanfattning : The purpose of this research is to investigate the influence of negative transfer from Arabic as the most dominant influential factor among other possible factors that negatively affect Arabic learners resulting in them making errors in their written production in English as a second language. Differences in perception speed of auditory and visual stimuli, as well as the division of selective attention to more than one sources are combined in five different Stroop tasks in this study, involving three stimuli: a picture, a written word and a heard word.
