    Sammanfattning : This paper analyzes the evolution of narrative forms and the use of war metaphors in written press related to drug trafficking in the newspaper La Capital of the city of Rosario (Argentina), between 2011 and 2022. In mid-2013 there was a rise in crimes related to the world of drug trafficking, which in our opinion, favored a change in the way of narrating and the use of the linguistic resource of metaphors related to the field of war.     Sammanfattning : This thesis presents a close reading of the award-winning novel The Handmaid’s Tale (1985) by Margaret Atwood. Drawing on Conceptual Metaphor Theory as a framework, and the notion of embodiment, the study sheds light on metaphorical linguistic expressions that contribute to the realization of conceptual container metaphors pertinent to the main character’s psychological state.
