Undersökningens frågeställning har formulerats för att ta reda på vilken av de fyra förmågorna de upplever som viktigast för dem men även för att ta reda på om det finns någon annan viktig faktor utöver de fyra förmågorna som är särskilt viktig för elevernas upplevelse av språkinlärningen. The study is partly connected to formative assessment in that it focuses on one of the key strategies of the process; making the objectives and goals of schoolwork transparent to students and sharing these with them.
