  1. 1. Kontinuerlig rötning med hydrokol för högre biogasutbyte

    Master-uppsats, Karlstads universitet/Fakulteten för hälsa, natur- och teknikvetenskap (from 2013)

    Författare :Annette Kariis; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Biogas; Continuous anaerobic digestion; Hydrochar; Hydrothermal Carbonisation; Life-cycle costing; Biogas; kontinuerlig anaerob rötning; Hydrokol; Hydrotermisk karbonisering; Livscykelkostnad;

    Sammanfattning : Befolkningsökningen och därmed efterfrågan på energikällor som tillhandahålls från fossila bränslen leder till allvarliga miljöproblem på grund av utsläpp av växthusgaser. En annan utmaning är att effektivt hantera organisk avfall som till exempel matavfall som genereras världen över. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Sargassum digestate as fertiliser in Grenada

    Kandidat-uppsats, KTH/Hållbar utveckling, miljövetenskap och teknik

    Författare :Lina Bengtsson; Theodor Halldin; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Sargassum; digestate; fertiliser; heavy metals; Sargassum; digestat; gödningsmedel; tungmetaller;

    Sammanfattning : Surges of Sargassum have become more severe and at the time of writing the largest surge yet is set to hit the Caribbean islands, affecting tourism and marine life negatively. Tourism is Grenada’s single handedly largest economic sector, which is why it is important to research the use of Sargassum. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Separation and acidification of digested animal manure : properties of the future organic fertilizers

    Uppsats för yrkesexamina på avancerad nivå, SLU/Dept. of Soil and Environment

    Författare :Marie Björs; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Digestate; Eutrophication; Farmers’ survey; Plasma activation; Screw press;

    Sammanfattning : Agricultural areas with a high animal density contribute to eutrophication in waterbodies and seas worldwide due to accumulation of nutrients around animal farms. Animal manure is heavy and bulky, thus unpractical to transport long distances and new techniques have been developed to refine animal manure and make it easier to transport. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Developing biofertilisers in Grenada from the residues of an anaerobic digestion plant using Sargassum seaweed : Evaluating how problematic Sargassum algae can be turned in to a resource in Caribbean states

    Kandidat-uppsats, KTH/Hållbar utveckling, miljövetenskap och teknik

    Författare :Danielle Crowter Elfving; Emma Stahre; [2022]
    Nyckelord :Sargassum Algae; Fertiliser; Biofertiliser; Anaerobic Digestion; Massblooming; Cultivation; Sargassotång; Gödsel; Biogödsel; Anaerobisk Nedbrytning; Massblomning; Odling;

    Sammanfattning : The West Indies have during recent years been experiencing large quantities of washed up Sargassum seaweed on beaches and coastlines causing many issues for local communities such as unpleasant odours, making beaches inaccessible and largely affecting tourism and fisheries. The issue has caused money loss for the communities both in cleaning costs and decreasing incomes from tourism and fishing. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Nitrogen and phosphorus analysis in field cultivation of Pak choi : effect of two different compositions of fertilisers on plant and soil nutrient status

    Master-uppsats, SLU/Dept. of Biosystems and Technology (from 130101)

    Författare :Joubin Haji Mirza Ali; [2020]
    Nyckelord :aged cattle manure; fertilisers; nitrogen; Pak choi; nutrient analysis; phosphorus; retting digest; waste materials;

    Sammanfattning : This pilot study was implemented to reflect the delivery and the plant availability of nitrogen and phosphorus in response to different compositions of fertilisers approved for organic farming in Sweden. The experimental approach was to compare the concentration of nitrogen and phosphorus in plant sap of Pak choi plants grown in soil treated with different organic waste such as aged cattle manure and a liquid retting digest derived from the biogas industry, with plants grown in soil treated with a blend of pelleted organic fertilisers derived from the Swedish slaughterhouse industry.
