  1. 21. Load-velocity profiles as a predictor of performance level in swimming : What differentiates international elite swimmers from national elite – force capacity or efficiency?

    Master-uppsats, Gymnastik- och idrottshögskolan, GIH/Institutionen för fysiologi, nutrition och biomekanik

    Författare :Maria Vitazka; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Load-Velocity; Force-Velocity; Force Capacity; Swimming; Biomechanics; Performance indicators; International elite; swimming performance; 1080 Sprint; 1080 Motion; Semi-tethered force measurements; tethered force measurements; maximum velocity; load; force; swimming efficiency;

    Sammanfattning : Aim  The purposes of this study were to investigate if the load-velocity (L-V) profile parameters – force capacity and efficiency - differ between swimmers of different performance level, and to investigate if efficiency is the key performance indicator between international elite and national elite level swimmers.  Method  Fifty-four swimmers (27 female and 27 male) of either regional level, national elite or international elite level, participated in this study. 4. 24. Environmental Testing of Large Components

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Skolan för industriell teknik och management (ITM)

    Författare :Kenan Güler; Myriam Tenace; [2023]
    Nyckelord :battery packs; large electric components; random vibration; sine sweep; vibration testing.; batteripacken; random vibration; sinus sweep; stora elektriska komponenter; vibrationstestning.;

    Sammanfattning : As the industry is being reshaped concentrically around sustainability, the consumption of fossil fuels is targeted to decrease day by day. As a consequence of that, a righteous rise of electricity as energy source prevails in different branches of industry. LÄS MER

  5. 25. Multiscale & Multiphysics Modelling of Thrust Pad (Air) Bearings

    Master-uppsats, Luleå tekniska universitet/Institutionen för teknikvetenskap och matematik

    Författare :Nipon Roy; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Finite element modelling; Air bearing; Multiphysics simulations; Air lubrication; surface texture; Topology optimization;

    Sammanfattning : Without lubrication, machines are not imaginable to perform over a long period of time and complete their designated operations. With its omnipresent availability, the air is capable of functioning as a lubricant in long operations very efficiently. Moreover, thrust bearings support axial loads and transmit power at the same time under heavy loads. LÄS MER
