  1. 1. Magnetic field separation for current prediction in three-phase systems : Regression-based current prediction

    Master-uppsats, Mälardalens universitet/Akademin för innovation, design och teknik

    Författare :Sara Lenman; Sofia Blaad; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Alternating Current; Crosstalk Separation; Magnetic field sensors; Regression; Sensor technology; Three-phase system;

    Sammanfattning : Current controls the motion of a manipulator. The manipulators at ABB are powered by a three-phase alternating current system where shunt resistors are utilised to measure the current to the motors. Magnetic field sensors are instead investigated to eliminate issues with power losses, the number of components and the cost of the shunt resistors. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Optimization of alloys recovery in steel scrap sorting : Technological, economic and environmental considerations for a better chromium, nickel and molybdenum recovery in steel scrap

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Materialvetenskap

    Författare :Simone Quintè; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Steel scrap sorting; stainless steel; Chromium; Nickel; Molybdenum; alloys recovery; Laser Induced Breakdown Spectroscopy; revenue modeling; CO2 emissions modeling; Stålskrot Sortering; rostfritt stål; Krom; Nickel; Molybden; återvinning av legeringar; Laserinducerad nedbrytningsspektroskopi; intäktsmodellering; Modellering av CO2-utsläpp;

    Sammanfattning : Today’s steelmaking industry is highly dependent on steel scrap supply. In order to reduce the greenhouse gas emissions (GHGs) deriving from the steel industry, it is of utmost importance to ensure that high percentages of steel scrap are recycled, reducing the reliance on the traditional ore-based steelmaking, which is significantly more environmentally impactful. 3. 3. Method development of magnetic cell isolation and DNA extraction of small cell populations from Ficoll-separated hematopoietic cells

    Kandidat-uppsats, Uppsala universitet/Institutionen för medicinsk cellbiologi

    Författare :Dominika Debowska; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Clonal haematopoiesis of indeterminate potential CHIP ; hematopoietic stem cell; automated cell separation; silica-membrane-based nucleic acid purification.;

    Sammanfattning : Clonal haematopoiesis of indeterminate potential, or CHIP are a family of mutations present in the general population. CHIP-mutations are prevalent in the haematopoietic stem cells and in the more mature cell populations, T-lymphocytes, B-lymphocytes and myeloid cells (CD3+, CD19+ and CD33+ cells) in blood. LÄS MER

  4. 4. The Stern-Gerlach Spectrometer for Charged Particles : A step towards an alternative method for measuring spin

    Kandidat-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Synkrotronljusfysik; Lunds universitet/Fysiska institutionen

    Författare :Samuel Eriksson; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Stern-Gerlach; Stern; Gerlach; spin; time-of-flight; time of flight; magnetic moment; spectrometer; Physics and Astronomy;

    Sammanfattning : The purpose of this project is to investigate the performance of a spectrometer capable of measuring both momentum and spin of particles. More specifically, we investigated what parameters are required in order to separate particles with opposite spins at least 1 mm. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Review of magnetic bead surface markers for stem cell separation : Literature study for MAGic Bioprocessing

    Kandidat-uppsats, Uppsala universitet/Institutionen för materialvetenskap

    Författare :Gustav Holmberg; Adrian Svensson; Erik Bergström; Leo Westerberg; Watthachak Wijitchakhorn; [2022]
    Nyckelord :Magnetic bead; stem cell; surface antigen; immunotherapy; regenerative medicine; market analysis; separation technique;

    Sammanfattning : Stem cell therapy and transplantation is a quickly evolving field with many clinical applications. However, several problems need to be overcome before they can be applied on an allogenic scale, and among them is ensuring of the purity of the applied differentiated stem cell culture. LÄS MER
