Dessa reaktioner är viktiga för atmosfäriska oxidationscykler och följaktligen var syftet med detta masterprojekt att beräkna hastighetskonstanterna för dessa reaktioner mellan metyljodid och 1-jodidpentan med tetrametyletylen, isopren och limonen vid rumstemperatur genom att kvantifiera respektive epoxid; tetrametyloxiran, isoprenmonoxid och limonen 1,2 epoxid, som producerades.
