   Sammanfattning : Den här uppsatsen har ämnat undersöka patriarkala strukturer i den sociala relationen mellan baron Gerard de Geer och arbetarna på Lesjöfors bruk genom att undersöka Barons maskulinitet som det uttrycks i hans böcker, och minnet av honom såsom det framstår i intervjuer. Intervjuerna producerade information om Barons egenskaper som inte framgick i hans böcker men bekräftade också att han efterliknade stora delar av sin syn på maskulinitet, exempelvis flit, generositet, trofasthet och sinne för humor.
