    Sammanfattning : Aim: Private pilot (PPL(A)) training has hardly received any scholarly attention from educational and sustainability science perspectives. Through an Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) perspective, the study aimed at 1) answering how sustainability and sustainable development (SD) are taught in pertinent PPL(A) theory learning material, theory lessons and practical training, 2) identifying gaps pertaining to sustainability and SD in those three components, and lastly 3) explore if and how certificated flight instructors, theory instructors and student pilots experience transformative learning during PPL(A) training, as well as what possibilities these stakeholders see in supporting transformative learning in PPL(A) training. With the aid of power theory, conflict theory, frustration and aggression theory, the study seeks to determine the extent to which religious oppression still exists in South Sudan with other specific aims such as determining the provisions for religious freedom in South Sudan, finding the role of religion in peacebuilding and assessing the challenges faced in religious tolerance in South Sudan. Through a multi-methods study based on document analysis of project grant cases in 2019, and in-depth interviews with Consulate staff and representatives from partner organizations, the study maps a web of different actors and processes of change in Turkish gender politics: states, civil society, segments of the public and the international community.
