  1. 1. Optical Communication using Nanowires and Molecular Memory Systems

    Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Fysiska institutionen; Lunds universitet/Synkrotronljusfysik

    Författare :Thomas Kjellberg Jensen; [2024]
    Nyckelord :neuromorphic computing; nanowire; molecular dye; DASA photoswitch; OBIC; Physics and Astronomy;

    Sammanfattning : Neuromorphic computational networks, inspired by biological neural networks, provide a possible way of lowering computational energy cost, while at the same time allowing for much more sophisticated devices capable of real-time inferences and learning. Since simulating artificial neural networks on conventional computers is particularly inefficient, the development of neuromorphic devices is strongly motivated as the reliance on AI-models increases. 2. 2. Multiple-Emitter Super-resolution Imaging using the Alternating Descent Conditional Gradient Method

    Kandidat-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Beräkningsbiologi och biologisk fysik - Genomgår omorganisation; Lunds universitet/Institutionen för astronomi och teoretisk fysik - Genomgår omorganisation

    Författare :Dolev Illouz; [2023]
    Nyckelord :super-resolution; alternating descent conditional gradient method; ADCG; multiple-emitter localization; nanoscale imaging; single molecule tracking; Physics and Astronomy;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis examines the state-of-the-art 2D super-resolution technique alternating descent conditional gradient (ADCG) method's ability to accurately localize fluorophores in diffraction-limited single molecule images (SMI) and analyze the impact of pre-processing and post-processing modules on ADCG's fluorophore localization. A synthetic dataset obtained from the 2013 Grand Challenge localization microscopy and a temporally linked dataset obtained from an unpublished set of Optical DNA mapping experiments performed by Jonathan Jeffet at the NanoBioPhotonix Lab at Tel-Aviv University were initially segmented to extract their noise parameters. 3. 3. Real- and Quasi-Atomic Layer Etching for Ultra-High Resolution Patterning

    Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Fasta tillståndets fysik; Lunds universitet/Fysiska institutionen

    Författare :Yoana Ilarionova; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Physics and Astronomy;

    Sammanfattning : An attempt was made at developing atomic layer etching from a cyclic etching process in an ICP-RIE tool. During the process OES was used for contamination monitoring and estimation of the relative amount of Cl2 left in the chamber during the etch step of cyclic etching processes. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Superluminous magnons in Nickel Oxide

    Master-uppsats, Uppsala universitet/Materialteori

    Författare :Jannes van Poppelen; [2023]
    Nyckelord :;

    Sammanfattning : Recent experiments have shown that the magnon velocity over nanoscale distancesin certain antiferromagnetic materials, with NiO in particular, far exceeds the previous theoretical maximum. Antiferromagnetic insulators are excellent candidatesfor spintronic nanodevices due to their exceptionally low energy dissipation, whichcould benefit the future speed at which information is stored. 5. 5. Hybrid Microwave Resonator-Nanoscale Conductor Systems

    Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Matematisk fysik; Lunds universitet/Fysiska institutionen

    Författare :Daniel Larsson Persson; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Circuit Quantum Electrodynamics; Open Quantum Systems; Gaussian States; Two-Mode Two-Photon Jaynes-Cummings Model; Jaynes-Cummings Model; Lyapunov Equation; Phase-Space Description; Duan Criterion; Entanglement; Light-Matter Interaction; Mean Field; Double Quantum Dot; Harmonic Oscillator; Two-Mode Squeezing; Symplectic Form; GKSL Equation; Lindblad Equation; Physics and Astronomy;

    Sammanfattning : Entanglement is a fundamental aspect of quantum computation and quantum information processes. In this work, we analyse the entanglement of two microwave resonators when connected to a semiconductor double quantum dot. LÄS MER
