1. Petrophysical Properties of Rocks in Central Kiruna Mining District, Sweden
Master-uppsats, Uppsala universitet/Institutionen för geovetenskaperSammanfattning : High economic and metallogenic significance of northern Norrbotten ore district in Sweden which hosts Kiruna mining district makes it a very important ore district in the world. Northern Norrbotten ore district contributes a combined 90 percent of iron production in Europe. LÄS MER
2. Paleomagnetic and Thermomagnetic Studies on Rock Samples from COSC - 1 Drilling Project
Master-uppsats, Uppsala universitet/GeofysikSammanfattning : The COSC-1 borehole located in the Lower Seve nappe of the Central Scandinavian Caledonides is intended to study the tectonic evolution of the Paleozoic orogen. The drilling project reached a depth of 2495.8m and obtained samples from different lithologal units of mica schist, amphibolite, gneiss, and mylonitic gneisses. LÄS MER
3. Rock Magnetic Studies of Magnetite and Quartzite: Results at Ambient Conditions and From Diamond Anvil Pressure Experiments (~2 GPa)
Master-uppsats, Uppsala universitet/GeofysikSammanfattning : Numerous techniques are used to study the magnetic history and properties of rocks, which provides important data on the Earth’s interior. In this study we conducted a series of experiments on two different sample sets, comprising pure magnetite (Set1) and a mixture of magnetite-hemoilmenite-bearing quartzite (Set2), in order to gather information about their magnetic susceptibility and remanent magnetization. 4. Petrophysic of the Host-rock to the Ore in the Lovisa Mine, Bergslagen
Kandidat-uppsats, Uppsala universitet/Institutionen för geovetenskaperSammanfattning : The Bergslagen region has three base-metal mines operating today, and one of them is the Lovisa mine, which host a Zn-Pb-Ag deposit. The Lovisa mine is located in the Guldsmedshyttan area north of Lindesberg. LÄS MER
5. A rock magnetic study of the Åkerberg gold deposit, northern Sweden
Magister-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Geologiska institutionenSammanfattning : A rock magnetic study has been preformed of the Åkerberg gold deposit, located 30 km NE of Boliden in northern Sweden. The gold mineralization is located to a zone of subparallel quartz veins in a layered gabbro. Ground surveys show a lowering of the magnetic properties at the ore zone. LÄS MER
