  1. 1. Ett cirkulärt samhälle med sulfidjord : Behandling och återanvändning

    Uppsats för yrkesexamina på avancerad nivå, Luleå tekniska universitet/Institutionen för samhällsbyggnad och naturresurser

    Författare :Markus Höegh; [2020]
    Nyckelord :Sulfidjord; neutralisering; behandling; bränd kalk; bioaska;

    Sammanfattning : I Sverige förekommer det sura sulfatjordar som är resultatet av när sulfidrika sediment, som avsattes för 4000 – 7000 år sedan, introduceras i en oxisk miljö. Sedimenten avsattes i botten av Litorinahavet främst längs östkusten samt Mälardalen i anaeroba förhållanden där sulfider kunde bildas. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Neutralization of acidic wastewaters with the use of landfilled Electric Arc Furnace (EAF) high-alloyed stainless-steel slag : An upscale trial of the NEUTRALSYRA project

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Materialvetenskap

    Författare :Rahul Puthucode; [2019]
    Nyckelord :Landfilled High-alloyed Electric Arc Furnace EAF slag; Slag neutralization potential; Slag recycling;

    Sammanfattning : The landfilling of slag obtained from the high alloyed Electric Arc Furnace (EAF) steel making process, constitutes an environmental treat for society as well as an economical problem for the companies producing it, due to the costs related to waste management practices. Conventional methods of slag recycling are abundantly used among the steelmaking business, but due to their particular physical properties, high- alloyed EAF slags cannot be properly valorized. 3. 3. Dephosphorisation of Acidic Wastewater : Aimed to allow the recirculation of byproducts as slag builders

    Kandidat-uppsats, KTH/Skolan för industriell teknik och management (ITM)

    Författare :Henrik Welander; Martin Palm; [2018]
    Nyckelord :Phosphorus removal; Use of Polonite®; Sustainable Metallurgy; Recycling; Neutralization of Wastewater.; Fosforrening; Användning av Polonite®; Hållbar Metallurgi; Återvinning; Neutralisering av Avfallsvatten.;

    Sammanfattning : This study was conducted to evaluate if Polonite® could remove Phosphorus from Sandvik’s wastewater that naturally forms during steelmaking, and hence be proficiently used as a precursor of the neutralization process of said steel plant. Currently lime (CaO) is mixed with the wastewater which creates clean water and sediments, that later need to be landfilled. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Neutralizing acidic wastewater from the pickling process using slag from the steelmaking process : A pilot study in project "Neutralsyra"

    Kandidat-uppsats, KTH/Materialvetenskap

    Författare :Julia Brännberg Fogelström; Amelie Lundius; Hedda Pousette; [2017]
    Nyckelord :Slag; Neutralization; Lime; Lime Concentrate; Acidic wastewater; pH; Landfill; Byproducts; Slagg; Neutralisering; Kalk; Kalkkoncentrat; Surt avfallsvatten; pH; Deponi; Restprodukter;

    Sammanfattning : Properties and origins of two byproducts from steelmaking plants, slag and acidic wastewater, are investigated in this report. The slags' suitability as neutralizing agents of acidic wastewater from the pickling process, with regard to amount of slag required and the environmental impact of the produced byproducts is investigated. 5. 5. Treatment of Spent Pickling Acid from Stainless Steel Production : A review of regeneration technologies with focus on the neutralisation process for implementation in Chinese industry

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Industriell ekologi

    Författare :Lena Dahlgren; [2010]
    Nyckelord :acid regeneration; acid neutralisation; pickling waste water treatment; environmental effects of stainless steel production; nitrate reduction; High Density Sludge process; HDS process; syraåtervinning; neutralisering; behandling av avlopp från betning; denitrifiering; miljöeffekter av stålproduktion; High Density Sludge process; HDS;

    Sammanfattning : Pickling is a unit operation within stainless steel production, which means treating the steel with hydrofluoric acid (HF) and nitric acid (HNO3), also called mixed acid. The whole process generates waste water streams which have to be treated before released to recipient. LÄS MER
