1. När militarisering mötte välfärdsstat : Beredskapsplaneringen av svensk sjukvård 1950–1985
Master-uppsats, Umeå universitet/Institutionen för idé- och samhällsstudierSammanfattning : This paper studies when warfare meets welfare in the Swedish contingency planning of healthcare in war during the period 1950 to 1985 with the aim of analysing how the planning changed, what caused these changes and how this can be linked to societal changes in the post-war Sweden. The analysis is carried out with the help of a self-adapted stakeholder model where first the change in planning and management is analysed and then seeks causal explanations for the key changes based on three military and three civilian drivers. 2. Models for estimating radiation dose and LAR from radioactive fallout: extended dose algorithms for the computational tool LARCalc
Master-uppsats,Sammanfattning : Today, emergency preparedness is needed against both nuclear reactor accidents and nuclear weapons fallout. Both scenarios can lead to exposure of ionizing radiation. Upon exposure, radionuclides will incur a radiation dose both internally and externally. LÄS MER
3. FÖRBEREDD OCH INTE RÄDD Ett genusperspektiv på prepping
Kandidat-uppsats, Göteborgs universitet/Statsvetenskapliga institutionenSammanfattning : People may have always felt that the time they’re living in is the most dangerous and risky, and there is always a new threat to be seen on the horizon. The “modern” risks of climate change, nuclear accidents and economic collapse are said to be worse than any risks humanity have faced before, because of their uncertainty and scale. LÄS MER
4. Fire Risk and Hazard Analysis of Lithium-Ion Battery Technologies in Underground Facilities: A Literature Review
Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Avdelningen för BrandteknikSammanfattning : The past decades have seen an exponential growth of the lithium-ion battery (LIB) market as use of this high-energy storage has found applications in nearly every industry. The European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN) is interested in implementing this technology within their underground network and this literature review is intended to assist with addressing fire and safety concerns. 5. Monte-Carlo response for mobile gamma spectroscopy in fallout affected residential areas
Master-uppsats, Uppsala universitet/Tillämpad kärnfysikSammanfattning : Historically, two nuclear power plant incidents have led to major releases of radioactive isotopes into the environment. In the unfortunate event that such an incident would occur in Sweden, the national emergency preparedness has set-up carborne detector systems which can be used to map radionuclides in fallout affected areas.
