  1. 16. Deep Ring Artifact Reduction in Photon-Counting CT

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Fysik

    Författare :Konstantinos Liappis; [2022]
    Nyckelord :Photon¬counting; Spectral CT; Material Decomposition; Deep learning; Resnet; Ring artifact; Sinogram; Fotonräknande; Spektral datortomografi; Materialdekomposition; Djupinlärning; Resnet; Ringartefakt; Sinogram;

    Sammanfattning : Ring artifacts are a common problem with the use of photon-counting detectors and commercial deployment rests on being able to compensate for them. Deep learning has been proposed as a candidate for tackling the inefficiency or high cost of traditional techniques. LÄS MER

  2. 17. Analysis of rock grouting with variable injection pressure

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Hållbar utveckling, miljövetenskap och teknik

    Författare :Zhuohang Lian; [2022]
    Nyckelord :Rock engineering; Rock grouting; Variable injection pressure; Dynamic grouting technique;

    Sammanfattning : Rock grouting is an effective technique frequently used in rock engineering to reduce  groundwater ingress and increase the stability of surrounding rock mass. The real time grouting control (RTGC) is one of widely used  analytical models to predict the grouting process. LÄS MER

  3. 18. Convection in a spherical shell under rapid rotation: numerical simulations

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Teknisk mekanik

    Författare :Camille Rambert; [2022]
    Nyckelord :convection; rapid rotation; spectral methods; spherical geometry;

    Sammanfattning : A numerical method for solving the buoyancy-driven magneto-convection equations in a rapidly rotating spherical shell is presented. The method is implemented through a FORTRAN 90 program, based on a FORTRAN 66 code written by Hollerbach [International Journal for Numerical Methods in Fluids, 32 (2000)] and partially translated in FORTRAN 90 by Riquier. 4. 19. Optimization of support in rock pillars between two parallel tunnels

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Jord- och bergmekanik

    Författare :Alexander Kote; Sohaib Ishaq; [2022]
    Nyckelord :tunnel; rock pillar support; rock pillar stability; rock mass; stresses; arching effect; Nyckelord: tunnel; bergförstärkning; bergpelare; bergmassa; spänningar; valveffekt;

    Sammanfattning : When two parallel tunnels are excavated under high to moderate horizontal in-situ stresses combined with minor deformations in the pillar between the tunnels, the in-situ stresses can be redistributed over the tunnels in form of two compressive arches and are transferred from the roof to the abutments of the two tunnels. At additional deformations in the pillar, a new redistribution of the stresses can occur creating one compressive arch over both of the tunnels. LÄS MER

  5. 20. Axially loaded screw joints in wooden structures exposed to fire : Fire tests in furnace and numerical calculations in TASEF of different screw mounting variations

    Uppsats för yrkesexamina på avancerad nivå, Luleå tekniska universitet/Institutionen för samhällsbyggnad och naturresurser

    Författare :Henrik Pettersson; Emma Wiklund; [2022]
    Nyckelord :Fire; wood; screw joints; strength; temperature; TASEF; Brand; trä; skruvförband; bärförmåga; temperatur; TASEF;

    Sammanfattning : To achieve sufficient stability of a structure in a fire scenario, a thorough design of joints in wooden structures are as important as the design of the construction itself. As an earlier study points out, there are no existing design method available to determine the load capacity of an axially loaded screw joint in wooden structures, which complicate the process of a thorough design of the joint in a fire scenario.
