  1. 1. Den violetta guldvingens (Lycaena helle) äggläggningsplatser : - En fältstudie i Norrbottens kustlandskap

    Kandidat-uppsats, Umeå universitet/Institutionen för ekologi, miljö och geovetenskap

    Författare :Emma Jonsson; [2020]
    Nyckelord :Violet copper; Lycaenidae; Lycaena helle; oviposition site; Bistorta vivipara;

    Sammanfattning : The violet copper (Lycaena helle) is one of Europe’s most endangered butterflies as a result of loss and fragmentation of its habitat. In order to further understand the habitat requirements of this species it is important to observe the specific characteristics of the oviposition sites. There is little research on L. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Odour-mediated behaviour in codling moth, Cydia pomonella : do fermentation odours affect the attraction and oviposition behaviour in codling moth?

    Magister-uppsats, SLU/Dept. of Plant Protection Biology

    Författare :Lillemor Torstensdotter; [2015]
    Nyckelord :Cydia pomonella; codling moth; fermentation; apples;

    Sammanfattning : The codling moth, Cydia pomonella is a common pest in apple orchards and can be found worldwide. Feeding by codling moth larvae can cause a substantial decrease in apple yield. Control methods comprise for example the use of pesticides, viruses and pheromones. LÄS MER

  3. 3. The effect of abiotic and landscape features on abundance of Anopheles larvae

    Master-uppsats, SLU/Dept. of Ecology

    Författare :Milda Norkute; [2014]
    Nyckelord :Anopheles arabiensis; larvae; density; breeding habits; dipping; landscape; Ethiopia;

    Sammanfattning : Mosquitoes are medically the most important group of insects, transmitting a number of deadly diseases, including malaria. Female mosquitoes transmit them while feeding on human blood, which is required to mature eggs. It is important to understand vector population dynamics in order to effectively control them. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Female mate choice and modulation of oviposition preference in the moth Spodoptera littoralis

    Kandidat-uppsats, SLU/Dept. of Biosystems and Technology (from 130101)

    Författare :Amanda Karlström; [2013]
    Nyckelord :Spodoptera littoralis; female mate choice; precopulatory assessment; host plant; selection; oviposition; Aedes aegypti; experience;

    Sammanfattning : In this thesis, two aspects of reproductive behaviour in the Egyptian cotton leafworm, Spodoptera littoralis (Lepidoptera:Noctuidae) were studied. The first was whether female moths make a mate choice based on precopulatory assessments of male mating partners, and the second whether larval food plant experience of an ectoparasite modulates the female choice of oviposition site.
