1. Nya metoder för fernissaborttagning – En komparativ studie
Kandidat-uppsats, Göteborgs universitet/Institutionen för kulturvårdSammanfattning : In recent years, new varnish removal methods have emerged in conservation, with two notable approaches: the tissue-gel composite method, involving gel-coated tissue material pressed onto varnished surfaces for simultaneous dissolution and binding, and the use of Evolon® CR textile saturated with solvent. Evolon® CR offers an alternative to gels and tissue-gel composites, aiming to eliminate residue from gel thickening agents and the need for mechanical cleaning, while enabling the use of non-polar solvents in a bound form. 2. EFFECTS OF COMMERCIAL NANO-LIME PRODUCTS AS A CONSOLIDATION METHOD FOR WALL PAINTINGS An experimental case study
Kandidat-uppsats, Göteborgs universitet/Institutionen för kulturvårdSammanfattning : Some of the main deterioration problems concerning wall paintings is structural degradation of the wall painting and the flaking of the painted layer. Consolidation, both in the form of reinforcement of the rendering of the wall painting and the re-adherence of a flaking paint layer to the underlying substrate, have thus been an important part of conservation efforts concerning wall paintings. 5. NUDE (APRÈS LE BAIN): An Inter-Disciplinary Technical Study of an Oil Painting on Cardboard by Pierre Bonnard
Kandidat-uppsats, Göteborgs universitet/Institutionen för kulturvårdSammanfattning : In this master thesis in paper conservation, an oil painting on cardboard (WL84, Gothenburg Museum of Art) by French artist Pierre Bonnard (1867-1947) is investigated. The painting shows signs of degradation in the form of staining, pigment loss, and discolored varnish. LÄS MER
