1. Prospects for a Free Electron Laser at the FemtoMAX Beamline
Kandidat-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Synkrotronljusfysik; Lunds universitet/Fysiska institutionenSammanfattning : A Free Electron Laser (FEL), is a device that generates extremely coherent and brilliant radiation using electrons accelerated to relativistic velocities in a particle accelerator. The process utilises similar equipment to what is used at a synchrotron source like MAX IV, but in addition there is an interaction between the relativistic electron beam and the generated radiation to achieve an exponential growth in radiation intensity. 2. Evaluation of structurally controlled rockfall hazard for underground excavations in seismically active areas of the Kiirunavaara mine
Master-uppsats, Luleå tekniska universitet/Institutionen för samhällsbyggnad och naturresurserSammanfattning : Sublevel caving operations at great depths are subjected both to large stress concentrations that are redistributed as the mining front progresses and to mining-induced seismicity. This is the case for Kiirunavaara mine, Sweden’s largest underground mine. LÄS MER
3. Camera Calibration for Zone Positioning and 2D-SLAM : Autonomous Warehouse Solutions for Toyota Material Handling
Kandidat-uppsats, Linköpings universitet/Institutionen för systemteknikSammanfattning : The aim of this thesis is to investigate how well a generic monocular camera, placed on the vehicle, can be employed to localize an autonomous vehicle in a warehouse setting. The main function is to ascertain which zone the vehicle is currently in, as well as update the status when entering a new zone. LÄS MER
4. The Stern-Gerlach Spectrometer for Charged Particles : A step towards an alternative method for measuring spin
Kandidat-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Synkrotronljusfysik; Lunds universitet/Fysiska institutionenSammanfattning : The purpose of this project is to investigate the performance of a spectrometer capable of measuring both momentum and spin of particles. More specifically, we investigated what parameters are required in order to separate particles with opposite spins at least 1 mm. LÄS MER
5. Full Configuration Interaction Model for 1-D Quantum System
Kandidat-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Matematisk fysik; Lunds universitet/Fysiska institutionenSammanfattning : The many-body problem is one of the most challenging problems in physics due to the complexity emerging from the interactions of many quantum particles. Since the advent of computers with increasing power, computational methods have been very successful in providing insight and precise solutions to this problem. LÄS MER
