  1. 1. Reprocessing and Characterization of Polybenzimidazole for High-Temperature Polymer Electrolyte Membrane Fuel Cells

    Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Centrum för analys och syntes

    Författare :Douglas Björkengren; [2023]
    Nyckelord :polymer electrolyte membrane fuel cells; PEMFC; HTPEMFC; polymer technology; polymer characterization; reprocessing; recycling; polybenzimidazole; PBI; Technology and Engineering;

    Sammanfattning : A reprocessing method of poly(2,2’-(m-phenylene)-5,5’-bibenzimidazole) (PBI) membranes recovered from the production line of High-Temperature Polymer Electrolyte Membrane Fuel Cells (HT-PEMFC) at Blue World Technologies (BWT) has been developed in order to reduce material loss in the production. Redissolution of scrap PBI membranes in poly(phosphoric acid) (PPA) and phosphoric acid (PA) was successful and the subsequent washing procedure produced PBI that could be redissolved in N,N-dimethyl acetamide (DMAc) and suitable for solution casting of new membranes. 2. 2. Purification of Engineered Graphite for Advanced Application

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Materialvetenskap

    Författare :Lingfeng Zhao; [2022]
    Nyckelord :Graphite; Purification; Acid washing; Biomass; Biochar;

    Sammanfattning : Graphite has important applications in several key industries, which has been listed as a “criticalraw material” considered to be supply-risk by European since 2020. Purification of engineered graphite is one of the essential processes for the manufacturing of high-quality graphite. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Hantering av avfallskalk från kulsinterverkens rökgasrening i Kiruna - Karakterisering och framtida möjligheter : En idéstudie om hantering och nyttjande av avfallskalk

    Master-uppsats, Umeå universitet/Institutionen för tillämpad fysik och elektronik

    Författare :Lina Malm; [2022]
    Nyckelord :;

    Sammanfattning : Dagens industrier har ett ansvar att bidra till en hållbar miljö vilket regleras genom lagstiftningar inom områden för utsläpp av föroreningar och avfallshantering. Det kräver bland annat processer för rökgasrening samt en vision för de medförande avfallsströmmarna. LÄS MER

  4. 4. PREPARATION AND CHARACTERIZATION OF BOVINE MEAT AND MILK FACTOR VESICLES/PARTICLES & IDENTIFICATION OF MSBI1 REP INTERACTING PROTEINS

    Master-uppsats, Uppsala universitet/Institutionen för medicinsk biokemi och mikrobiologi

    Författare :Farhana Manzoor; [2020]
    Nyckelord :Bovine meat and milk factors; multiple sclerosis; immunoprecipitation co-immunoprecipitation; protein dimers; mass spectrometry; immunodetection; cesium chloride density gradient centrifugation; sodium dodecyl sulfate-polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis; vesicle; particle; interaction partner; pull-down assay.;

    Sammanfattning : Introduction: Bovine meat and milk factors (BMMF) frequently isolated from bovine meat and milk, are discussed as putative causative agents for breast, colon and possibly other cancers. The hypothesis was formulated based on earlier correlative studies indicating that BMMFs could indirectly trigger inflammation, accumulate mutational events via reactive oxygen and nitrogen species production which eventually provokes tumor formation. 5. 5. Improving cell secretome analysis and bacteria evolution by means of acoustophoresis

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Skolan för kemi, bioteknologi och hälsa (CBH)

    Författare :Moritz Leuthner; [2020]
    Nyckelord :acoustophoresis; acoustofluidic; lab-on-a-chip; acoustic streaming; acoustic radiation force; particle trapping; particle washing; bulk acoustic waves; BAW; media exchange; cell manipulation;

    Sammanfattning : In both, cell secretome analysis and bacteria evolution, controlled handling of particles with a few to sub-micrometers in size and media exchange are inevitable in order to investigate body fluid’s proteins or change the surrounding culture conditions for pivoted evolution. Typically, nanofiltration and ultra-centrifugation are employed which can lead to cell damage, need large sample volumes and have a high sample loss. LÄS MER
