16. Carabidocoenoses and Fragments of Forests : exploring the Carabid Landscape
Kandidat-uppsats, SLU/Dept. of Forest Ecology and ManagementSammanfattning : Epigeic ground beetles (Coleoptera: Carabidae) were sampled between 2021-06-28 and 2021-07-09 using pitfall traps in the Swedish counties Värmland and Gävleborg. The structural properties of the landscapes surrounding these points were estimated from the Swedish Environmental Protection Agency’s national land cover databases and the Swedish Forest Agency’s data for all formally protected and high conservation value forests using patch-based configurational metrics. 17. Detection of local motion artifacts and image background in laser speckle contrast imaging
Master-uppsats, Linköpings universitet/Institutionen för medicinsk teknikSammanfattning : Laser speckle contrast imaging (LSCI) and its extension, multi-exposure laser speckle contrast imaging (MELSCI) are non-invasive techniques to monitor peripheral blood perfusion. One of the main drawbacks of LSCI and MELSCI in clinical use is that the techniques are sensitive to tissue movement. LÄS MER
18. Musikgenerering med Generativa motståndsnätverk
Master-uppsats, Jönköping University/JTH, Avdelningen för datavetenskapSammanfattning : At present, state-of-the-art deep learning music generation systems require a lot time and hardware resources to develop. This means that they are almost exclusively available to large companies. In order to reduce these requirements, more efficient techniques and methods need to be utilised. LÄS MER
19. Efficient Utilization of Video Embeddings from Video-Language Models
Master-uppsats, Linköpings universitet/DatorseendeSammanfattning : In the digital age where video content is abundant, this thesis investigates the efficient adaptation of an existing video-language model (VLM) to new data. The research leverages CLIP, a robust language-vision model, for various video-related tasks including video retrieval. LÄS MER
20. Optimal foraging in an Arctic herbivore : How does the foraging behaviour of Svalbard reindeer (Rangifer tarandus platyrhynchus) respond to seasonal changes from summer through autumn of the Arctic tundra?
Master-uppsats, Umeå universitet/Institutionen för ekologi, miljö och geovetenskapSammanfattning : Foraging decisions of large herbivores can be affected by many factors and have great effect on both above- and below-ground ecosystems. Here, I determine to which degree temporal (seasonality), or spatial (habitat) factors influence the foraging behaviour of Svalbard reindeer (Rangifer tarandus platyrhynchus) and asses if small-scale foraging behaviour correlates with an animals’ patch residence time.
