  1. 1. Seasonal permafrost subsidence monitoring in Tavvavuoma (Sweden) and Chersky (Russia) using Sentinel-1 data and the SBAS stacking technique

    Master-uppsats, Stockholms universitet/Institutionen för naturgeografi

    Författare :Ida Rehn; [2022]
    Nyckelord :InSAR; Sentinel-1; SBAS; Permafrost; Subsidence; Permafrost thaw;

    Sammanfattning : Permafrost deformation is expected to increase due to climatic perturbations such as amplified air and soil temperatures, resulting in permafrost thawing and subsequent subsidence. Palsas and peat plateaus are uplifted ice-rich peat mounds that experience permafrost subsidence. LÄS MER

  2. 2. A 2D Electrical Resistivity Survey of Palsas in Tavvavuoma, sub-arctic Sweden

    Master-uppsats, Uppsala universitet/Luft-, vatten- och landskapslära

    Författare :Per Marklund; [2014]
    Nyckelord :Palsas; permafrost; peat plateaus; resistivity; ert; geophysics; Tavvavuoma; Palsar; permafrost; torvplatåer; resistivitet; ert; geofysik; Tavvavuoma;

    Sammanfattning : Electrical resistivity tomography (ERT) is a commonly used geophysical method to investigate permafrost in the mountain environment, but few studies have employed this method in a permafrost affected peatland. For this thesis, 5 ERT profiles were measured over 17 palsas and peat-plateaus in a palsa peatland environment in Tavvavuoma, northern Sweden, where the primary aim was to investigate the depth to the base of permafrost under the mounds. 3. 3. Skogshistoria i Söderåsens nationalpark : en pollenanalytisk studie i Söderåsens nationalpark, Skåne

    Magister-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Geologiska institutionen

    Författare :Jonas Bergman; [2000]
    Nyckelord :geografi; geologi; skogshistoria; Söderåsens nationalpark; Skåne; pollenanalys; Earth and Environmental Sciences;

    Sammanfattning : The beech forest of the Söderåsen ridge in Skåne, southern Sweden, is one of the largest areas dominated by beech (Fagus sylvatica) in northern Europe, and during the year 2000 the southeastern part of Söderåsen will become the 27th national park of Sweden. Pollen analysis has been carried out on two peat cores collected from small peatlands situated on the plateaus surrounding the Skäralid canyon within the planned national park area. LÄS MER
