    Sammanfattning : A prototype invasive (quasi-parasitic) thermal-neutron beam monitor based on isotropic neutron scattering from a thin natural Vanadium foil and standard $^3$He proportional counters has been conceptualized, designed, simulated, calibrated, and commissioned.
