Our thesis addresses this by comparing the effectiveness of probit analysis - a time-tested statistical approach - with XGBoost - a new-era machine learning technique - in predicting corporate bankruptcy among Swedish firms. 22. The mobile Solow Paradox? Evidence from Swedish firms

Using a comprehensive dataset of Swedish firms and data on the availability of mobile broadband technologies, the study found that while contemporary effects of the technologies were negative, they had a positive effect on firm sales when using different orders of lags.
