1. Suspensions of Calcium Phosphate : Interactions of milk proteins to hydroxyapatite
Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Livsmedelsteknik och nutrition (master)Sammanfattning : Capolac is a product containing hydroxyapatite (HA) from Arla Food Ingredients, to be used for calcium fortification. The adsorption of casein and whey proteins onto the Capolac was investigated, aiming to solve the sedimentation problem of this insoluble calcium phosphate. LÄS MER
2. Magnetic Activated Carbon Production from Lignin and Ferrous Salts : Process Modification for Enhanced Phosphate Adsorption from Aqueous Solutions
Master-uppsats, KTH/MaterialvetenskapSammanfattning : The treatment and control of superfluous aqueous phosphate is a critical task in environmental management. Magnetic bio-activated carbon is a good adsorbent for physical adsorption methods with several environmental and economic advantages. LÄS MER
4. Synovial fluid components as synergistic lubricants in articular joint models
Master-uppsats, KTH/KemiSammanfattning : The excellent lubrication present within mammalian synovial joints attracted scientific interest, and some close-to-realistic models were applied to study the mechanism in vitro. In this project, the synergistic lubrication of synovial fluid was investigated by using 1,2-Dipalmitoyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphatidylcholine (DPPC), hyaluronic acid (HA), and phosphate-buffered saline (PBS buffer) to mimic the synovial fluid. 5. Adsorption of lysozyme on Silica Surfaces and Specific ion effects
Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Kemiska institutionenSammanfattning : Biomedical application of nanoparticles is largely associated to their fate in biological media which, in fact, is related to their surface properties. Surface functionalitzation plays a key role in determining biodegradation, cytotoxicity and biodistribution through interactions which may be meditated by the macromolecules occurring in biological media.
