Tidigare forskning har haft ett huvudsakligt fokus på de monetära fördelarna med hållbarhetsarbete, men eftersom finansiella aspekter nödvändigtvis inte är den enda nyckeln till ett företags framgång är det intressant att även finna andra värden.
