    Sammanfattning : In this paper youth representation among Swedish local government politicians is examined. Although youth people (18-29 years) constitute 20% of the electorate only about 7 percent of the politicians are young.     Sammanfattning : Tidigare forskning inom deskriptiv representation har mestadels studerat skillnaden i representationen mellan kvinnor och män, denna uppsatsen kommer istället fokusera på ungas representation. I förhållande till andelen röstberättigade finns det en kraftig underrepresentation av unga ledamöter i de svenska beslutsfattande församlingarna, men med en stor variation mellan olika kommuner och regioner.
