1. Sustainable food packaging based on polyhydroxyalkanoate
Master-uppsats, Högskolan i Borås/Akademin för textil, teknik och ekonomiSammanfattning : The Norwegian Food Research Institute (Nofima) and the University of Borås worked together to develop this project. The commonly used packaging materials pose a serious threat to the environment, as they are produced from nonrenewable crude oil and cannot decompose naturally. LÄS MER
2. Morphological study of PS/PMMA-matrix on glass, related to vapour pressure, mass-fraction, and size
Kandidat-uppsats, Karlstads universitet/Institutionen för ingenjörs- och kemivetenskaper (from 2013)Sammanfattning : The objective of this study is to observe how changing amount or ratio between dried mixes of poly-methyl-methacrylate and poly-styrene change the surface appearance, and how the results might inform future design of Organic photovoltaic cells, whom are based on polymer mixtures and heavenly dependent on the arrangement of polymers. An atomic force microscope was used on glass surfaces coated in a poly-methyl-methacrylate/poly-styrene matrix and dried from either dichloromethane or ethyl-acetate to determine surface appearance. 3. Characterisation of Poly(trimethylene carbonate) and f-BTI2g-TVTCN blends for the use in Biosensors
Kandidat-uppsats, KTH/KemiteknikSammanfattning : This report aims to study the degradation of poly(trimethylene carbonate) (PTMC) caused by the enzyme carboxylesterase in vitro. As well as to characterise polymer blends of f-BTI2g-TVTCN and poly(3-hydroxybutyric acid) as core components for organic electrochemical transistors (OETCs). LÄS MER
4. A photodegradation study of conjugated polymers for organic solar cells by absorption spectroscopy and atomic force microscopy
Uppsats för yrkesexamina på avancerad nivå, Karlstads universitet/Institutionen för ingenjörsvetenskap och fysik (from 2013)Sammanfattning : The effect of light exposure in ambient air on thin films made from an electron acceptor polymer poly{[N,N'-bis(2-octyldodecyl)naphthalene-1,4,5,8-bis(dicarboximide)-2,6-diyl]-alt-5,5'-(2,2'-bithiophene)} (N2200), an electron donor polymer Poly[[2,3-bis(3-octyloxyphenyl)-5,8-quinoxalinediyl]-2,5-thiophenediyl] (TQ1) and their blends, has been studied using UV-vis spectroscopy and Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM). For solutions of TQ1, N2200 and blends, the linearity of the Beer-Lambert law for absorption spectroscopy has been verified. LÄS MER
5. Convolutional neural networks for semantic segmentation of FIB-SEM volumetric image data
Master-uppsats, Göteborgs universitet/Institutionen för matematiska vetenskaperSammanfattning : Focused ion beam scanning electron microscopy (FIB-SEM) is a well-established microscopy technique for 3D imaging of porous materials. We investigate three porous samples of ethyl cellulose microporous films made from ethyl cellulose and hydroxypropyl cellulose (EC/HPC) polymer blends. LÄS MER
