  1. 21. Activation of Placenta XBP-1 Signaling in Obese Women

    Kandidat-uppsats,

    Författare :Nabaa Ibraheem; [2021]
    Nyckelord :Western blot; placenta; fetma; graviditet; Multiplex qPCR; XBP-1 protein;

    Sammanfattning : Overweight (BMI 25–29) or obese (BMI over 30) pregnant women have an increased risk of complications during pregnancy and childbirth that can harm both women and their children.Due to increased risk for several complications such as of giving birth to large children, malformations or still births, the children have higher risk of obesity, blood pressure diseases and diabetes in childhood and later in life compared with children of normal weight. 2. 22. 3D Bioprinting Meniscus for Future Tissue Replacement in Osteoarthritis Affected Knee Joints

    H-uppsats,

    Författare :Ida Pettersson; Amanda Olsson Widjaja; [2020-06-22]
    Nyckelord :Alginate; Articular Cartilage; Bioink; Induced Pluripotent Stem Cells; Meniscus; Nanofibrillated Cellulose; Osteoarthritis; Screening; 3D Bioprinting;

    Sammanfattning : Progressive cartilage defects in human knee joints are a worldwide health issue that exposes a great burden on society as well as on single individuals. Sudden traumas to the knees can induce tears in the structures of the joints such as the articular cartilage and the meniscus. LÄS MER

  3. 23. Occurrence of Phytophthora species in soils, and functional analysis of soil microbiomes on Biolog EcoPlates : a study on commercial soils, and forest and urban soils

    Master-uppsats, SLU/Southern Swedish Forest Research Centre

    Författare :Catharina Schmidt; [2020]
    Nyckelord :Phytophthora; Fagus sylvatica; Quercus robur; soils; Biolog EcoPlates; Metabolic diversity;

    Sammanfattning : Tree pathogenic Phytophthora species have been identified as a threat to health and stability of forests und urban trees. In Sweden most Phytophthora species are non-native and potentially invasive, and thus it is important to control their spread. LÄS MER

  4. 24. Identifiering av icke-tuberkulösa mykobakterier och Mycobacterium tuberculosis med hjälp av PCR-teknik.

    Kandidat-uppsats, Linnéuniversitetet/Institutionen för kemi och biomedicin (KOB)

    Författare :Josefina Vernersson; [2020]
    Nyckelord :Realtids-PCR; icke-tuberkulösa mykobakterier; Mycobacterium tuberculosis;

    Sammanfattning : Tuberkulos orsakad av Mycobacterium tuberculosis, är en av de ledande dödsorsakerna globalt sett enligt världshälsoorganisationen (WHO). M. tuberculosis ingår i Mycobacterium tuberculosis komplex (MTBC) där bland annat Mycobacterium bovis, M. bovis BCG (Bacillus Calmette-Guérin) och Mycobacterium africanum också ingår. LÄS MER

  5. 25. Optimization of a multiplex ARMS-PCR for detection of the primary mutations causing Leber’s hereditary optic neuropath

    Kandidat-uppsats, Uppsala universitet/Institutionen för kvinnors och barns hälsa

    Författare :Klara Jäder; [2020]
    Nyckelord :Allele-specific PCR; LHON; Multiplex Polymerase Chain Reaction; mitochondrial DNA; single nucleotide polymorphism;

    Sammanfattning : Leber’s hereditary optic neuropathy (LHON) is a genetic disease that causes the patients to become blind, first in one eye and then the other, around the ages of 10-75 years. The disease is caused by mutations in the mitochondrial DNA, which disturbs the respiratory chain leading to the deterioration of the retinal ganglion cells. LÄS MER
