1. Deterministic Nanopatterning of Graphene Using an Ion Beam
Uppsats för yrkesexamina på avancerad nivå, Uppsala universitet/Tillämpad kärnfysikSammanfattning : Graphene features a unique combination of exceptional properties and has emerged as one of the most promising nanomaterials for a variety of applications. The ability to structurally modify graphene with nanoscale precision enables the properties to be further extended. LÄS MER
2. Characterizing the pore structure of porous matrices using SEQ-NMR spectroscopy
Uppsats för yrkesexamina på avancerad nivå, Uppsala universitet/Institutionen för biologisk grundutbildningSammanfattning : Characterization of the pore structure is a crucial part in themanufacturing of porous media used for purification of biologicalpharmaceuticals. This project took place at Cytiva in Uppsala and aimedat optimizing a newly developed method in pore structurecharacterization called size-exclusion quantification NMR (SEQ-NMR). LÄS MER
3. Implementation of the mille-feuille nanofilter paper in the virus removal filtration of IgY purified from chicken egg yolk
Uppsats för yrkesexamina på avancerad nivå, Uppsala universitet/Institutionen för biologisk grundutbildningSammanfattning : The purpose of this thesis was to test the mille-feuille nanofilter paper for a virus removal filtration from a potential protein-based nutraceutical. Therefore, chicken IgY was purified from egg yolk, with PEG precipitation for crude fractionation followed by thiophilic adsorption chromatography. LÄS MER
4. Fabrication and Characterization of Nano-Confined Pd Catalysts for CO Oxidation
Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Fasta tillståndets fysik; Lunds universitet/Fysiska institutionenSammanfattning : During this thesis nanoporous alumina has been used as a template for the synthesis of nano-confined palladium structures. The nanoporous templates have been synthesized by anodization of aluminum and characterized using atomic force microscopy (AFM), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and small angle X-ray scattering (SAXS), resulting in good statistics of the pore diameter and interpore distance of these nanoporous structures. 5. Electron Assisted Growth of Graphene atop Ir(111) supported Hexagonal Boron Nitride
Kandidat-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Synkrotronljusfysik; Lunds universitet/Fysiska institutionenSammanfattning : Vertical heterostructures between graphene (Gr) and hexagonal boron nitride (hBN) have attracted a great deal of interest, due to their potential applications in the semiconductor industry as new and superior transistor materials. The direct growth of the heterostucture still remains challenging and in this bachelor thesis, I report a novel electron assisted growth technique, which is used to attempt to grow Gr atop hBN atop an Ir(111) single crystal surface.
