    Sammanfattning : This degree project studies the integration of carbon capture system into biomass fired combined heat and power (bio-CHP) plants. The key disturbances from bio-CHP plants include flue gas flow rate, carbon dioxide (CO2) concentration and available heat for the reboiler because the use of versatile biomass and the dynamic operation of CHP plants results in large fluctuations in the properties of flue gas and the heat input for CO2 capture.     Sammanfattning : In this thesis, an anomaly detection framework is assessed and fine-tuned to detect and explain anomalies in a power station, where EtherCAT, an Industrial Control System, is employed for monitoring. The chosen framework is based on a previously published Graph Neural Network (GNN) model, utilizing attention mechanisms to capture complex relationships between diverse measurements within the EtherCAT system.     Sammanfattning : In the production of their High Voltage Direct Current Cables (HVDC) and High Voltage Alternating Current Cables (HVAC), NKT uses triple extruders to create layers of insulation and semi-conduction.     Sammanfattning : The Nordic power system is in a changing phase, with more power electronic interfaced connections, and HVDC connections to other synchronous areas, which impacts the frequency quality. This is a challenge for the transmission system operator of Sweden, Svenska Kraftnät, who, with the other Nordic transmission system operators, is responsible for the physical balancing of the Nordic power system.
