  2. 2. Purification of Volatile Organic Compounds in Channeled Ventilation Pipes at the Sysav Water Treatment Plant for Hazardous Waste

    Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Kemiteknik (CI)

    Författare :Erik Wiktorsson; [2022]
    Nyckelord :VOC; Zeolite; Catalytic combustion; Sysav; Chemical Engineering; Chemistry; Technology and Engineering;

    Sammanfattning : Several channeled emissions at the Sysav water treatment plant for hazardous waste as of December 2021 exceed permitted levels of unknown volatile organic compounds (VOCs) stated in the European Parliament councils’ directives 2010/75/EU. A range of possible treatment methods are briefly discussed before zeolite adsorption, and thermal regeneration followed by catalytic combustion is decided to be the method of greatest feasibility and is the subject of further investigation. 3. 3. Development of a process for environmental life cycle investigations

    Kandidat-uppsats, Högskolan Väst/Institutionen för ingenjörsvetenskap

    Författare :Erik Berntsson; Albin Dimgård; [2022]
    Nyckelord :Sustainable development; environmental impact; cars;

    Sammanfattning : As a result of increasing interest in sustainable development, the subject of this report is the exploration of methods to analyse the environmental impact of car components. The project is conducted as a case study, and the theory section is a literature study where several scientific articles about life cycle assessment (LCA) and environmental analysis are examined alongside previously performed LCAs, books about the subject, and ISO standards. 4. 4. Experimental pressure loss analysis in a mini tube for a fully developed turbulent airflow. : Mini channels of lengths 22.5 mm to 150 mm in length with a constant diameter of 1.5 mm

    Master-uppsats, Linköpings universitet/Mekanisk värmeteori och strömningslära

    Författare :Soumen Ghosh; [2022]
    Nyckelord :Experimental fluid mechanics; Pressure drop; friction factor; Internal flow; fully developed flow; turbulent flow; Fluid mechanics; Ideal gas; Moody s chart; Additive manufacturing; compressible flow; turbine blade cooling; mini channel;

    Sammanfattning : The cooling systems in a gas turbine are especially important as the turbine blades and vanes are exposed to extreme temperatures. The relatively cool air is extracted from the compressors and fed to the turbines to cool the turbine blades. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Concept development to extract sodium sulfate from an aqueous solution

    Uppsats för yrkesexamina på avancerad nivå, Luleå tekniska universitet/Institutionen för teknikvetenskap och matematik

    Författare :André Selander; [2021]
    Nyckelord :biorefinery; aqueous solution; sodium sulfate; crystallisation; crystallization; kraft process;

    Sammanfattning : Now when the interest is increasing to reach a sustainable infrastructure, one possibility SCA is experimenting with is the possibility to produce renewable hydrocarbons from black liquor which can be extracted from a Kraft process. However, when extracting the black liquor, a lot of sodium-based compounds are removed from the recovery process and when hydrocarbons are produced in SCA’s biorefinery, these compounds are caught in an aqueous solution.
