1. Three-body decay as a baryon polarizer
Kandidat-uppsats, Uppsala universitet/KärnfysikSammanfattning : According to the standard model, the size of CP violation in the weak decay Λ → pπ- is predicted to be ∼ 10-5. This means that a very high precision is needed if we want to be able to measure it. LÄS MER
2. Hardware Accelerator of Bundle Adjustment Algorithm
Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Institutionen för elektro- och informationsteknikSammanfattning : With the popularization and development of CV technology, the SLAM algorithm is widely used in scenarios such as self-driving cars and autonomous navigation robots. As a key step in the SLAM system, the BA algorithm is responsible for optimizing camera parameters and 3D point coordinates. LÄS MER
3. Atmospheric Gravity Waves revisited with the EISCAT radar
Master-uppsats, Uppsala universitet/Institutet för rymdfysik, Uppsalaavdelningen; Uppsala universitet/Institutionen för fysik och astronomiSammanfattning : It is known that AGWs strongly interact with Traveling Ionospheric Disturbancescalled TIDs (e.g. Kirchengast et al., 1996). LÄS MER
4. Explorative Scenarios for Future Lithium Supplies and Demand
Magister-uppsats, Uppsala universitet/Institutionen för geovetenskaperSammanfattning : Because of its specific qualities, lithium is a key element for making lithium-ion batteries, which is of great relevance since the battery sector is the fastest growing user of lithium to date and with the transition towards a fully electrified transportation sector due to the current climate agenda and an even bigger increase in demand for lithium is anticipated for the coming decades. The two main sources for lithium to date are mines and brines, with brine water composing around 87 % of the world’s lithium reserves in terms of contained lithium. LÄS MER
5. Beyond Traditional Tomography: X-ray Multi-projection Imaging for Additive Manufacturing
Kandidat-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Synkrotronljusfysik; Lunds universitet/Fysiska institutionenSammanfattning : The main aim of this bachelor thesis is to push the limits of 3D X-ray imaging by studying the minimum number of projections required to retrieve high-quality reconstructions for additive manufacturing processes. This project first focuses on understanding how X-ray tomography works, by reconstructing additive manufacturing data already obtained (from PSI, TOMCAT beamline) using two standard reconstruction algorithms, GRIDREC and SIRT.
