1. Knockout of transcription factor MYB28 by CRISPR/Cas9 for reducing glucosinolate content in rapeseed (Brassica napus L.)
Master-uppsats, SLU/Dept. of Plant Breeding (from 130101)Sammanfattning : Rapeseed cake is a protein-rich by-product from the rapeseed oil extraction process. It contains high levels of glucosinolates (GSLs), which possess anti-nutritional functions after being hydrolyzed. Moreover, the hydrolyzed products of GSLs produce an extremely bitter taste. LÄS MER
2. Protoplast isolation and transformation in sweetpotato
3. HgII uptake in Geobacter sulfurreducens spheroplasts : Thiols’ role in Hg partitioning and methylation
Master-uppsats, Umeå universitet/Kemiska institutionenSammanfattning : Mercury (Hg) is a naturally occurring trace element and pollutant that is ubiquitous in aquatic ecosystems. All Hg species are hazardous, but methylmercury (MeHg) is the most alarming due to its neurotoxicity, teratogenicity, and bioaccumulation in the food web. LÄS MER
4. Optimization of protoplast methods suitable for transient CRISPR/Cas9 expression in Lepidium campestre
Master-uppsats, SLU/Dept. of Plant Breeding (from 130101)Sammanfattning : Lepidium campestre is a wild oil species with a number of traits that are beneficial from an agricultural point of view. CRISPR/Cas9 could be used transiently in protoplasts to accelerate domestication of L. campestre. LÄS MER
5. Modification of the plant retinoblastoma-related protein(RBR1) by SUMO : structural and functional studies
Master-uppsats, SLU/Dept. of Forest Genetics and Plant PhysiologySammanfattning : The retinoblastoma protein (Rb) is a transcription regulator and key component of theRb/E2F/DP pathway which regulates progression of the cell cycle in plants and animals.Within the pathway, Rb blocks E2F transcriptional activity consequently ensuringrestricted cell proliferation.
