    Författare :Maryam Dinar; [2023]
    Nyckelord :SLC38A1; SNAT1; SLC38A2; SNAT2; SLC38A3; SNAT3; SLC38A4; SNAT4; SLC38A5; SNAT5; SLC38A6; SNAT6; SLC38A7; SNAT7; SLC38A8; SNAT8; SLC38A9; SNAT9; SLC38A10; SNAT10; SLC38A11; SNAT11; SLC; SLC38; SNATs; SNAT; RT-qPCR; GABA; glutamine; glutamate;

    Sammanfattning : Solute carriers consist of over 400 genes and 66 subfamilies and are the largest group of membrane bound transporters. They facilitate movement of many molecules through cells and organelles and are crucial for upholding many key functions in the human body. They are also involved in the pathophysiology of several diseases. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Developing Wastewater-based Early Warning System for the Detection of Disease Outbreaks and Emerging Variants with focus on SARS-CoV-2

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Industriell bioteknologi

    Författare :Ayda Kiyar; [2023]
    Nyckelord :wastewater-based epidemiology; early warning system; RT-qPCR; normalization; SARS-CoV-2; avloppsvattenbaserad epidemiologi; förvarningssystem; RT-qPCR; normalisering;

    Sammanfattning : Under covid-19-pandemin har avloppsvattenbaserad epidemiologi (WBE) använts i stor utsträckning som ett komplement till kliniska tester över många delar av världen. Detta projekt syftade till att detektera och kvantifiera belastningen av Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) i avloppsvattenprover med hjälp av Revers transkriptas kvantitativ polymeraskedjereaktion (RT-qPCR). 3. 3. Design and production of adeno-associated virus vectors for imaging mitochondrial networks in the brain

    Uppsats för yrkesexamina på avancerad nivå, Uppsala universitet/Institutionen för biologisk grundutbildning

    Författare :Elnaz Samadian Zad; [2023]
    Nyckelord :adeno-associated virus; mitochondria; mitochondrial networks; imaging; fluorescent protein; synapsin promoter; human embryonic kidney cells; organoids;

    Sammanfattning : Mitochondria are dynamic organelles that function in a complex interconnected network within the cell. Neurons are sensitive and highly energy demanding cells in the brain which require a functioning mitochondrial network that is able to provide ATP and modulate calcium. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Characterization of the immunomicroenvironment of glioblastoma : Optimization of an antibody panel for detection of glioblastoma TME cells and effect of C3 on glioma cells.

    Kandidat-uppsats, Malmö universitet/Fakulteten för hälsa och samhälle (HS)

    Författare :Julia Wahldén; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Brain; cancer; glioblastoma; immune cells; immunofluorescence; tumor microenvironment; Cancer; glioblastom; immunceller; immunofluorescens; hjärnan; tumörmikromiljö;

    Sammanfattning : Glioblastoma (GBM) is the most common primary brain tumor in adults and represents one of the most aggressive tumor types. Despite treatment GBM remains incurable and when treated the tumor recurs more aggressive and treatment resistant than before. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Serglycin as a potential diagnostic biomarker for hemangiosarcoma in dogs

    Uppsats för yrkesexamina på avancerad nivå, SLU/Dept. of Clinical Sciences

    Författare :Cassandra Linder; [2022]
    Nyckelord :Serglycin; EEF2; cancer; hemangiosarcoma; dog; canine; metastatic; biomarker; qPCR;

    Sammanfattning : Hemangiosarcoma (HSA) is a common splenic malignant neoplasia in dogs, originating from the endothelium. The tumor has an aggressive character, and the clinical symptoms of HSA are mostly due to the secondary effects of the tumor such as tumor growth or rupture. The prognosis is poor for HSA, usually with a survival time of under one year. LÄS MER
