  1. 16. Dissolution rates of mineral nitrogen fertilisers : effects of moisture and precipitation

    Uppsats för yrkesexamina på avancerad nivå, SLU/Dept. of Soil and Environment

    Författare :Christian Sigtryggsson; [2018]
    Nyckelord :hygroscopicity; deliquescence; fertilisers; calcium nitrate; ammonium nitrate; dissolution rates; rain simulation; enthalpy; precision fertilisation;

    Sammanfattning : Hygroscopicity and deliquescence refer to the ability of a solid to absorb air moisture in which it dissolves and have long been recognised as properties having negative impacts on the product quality of explosives, pharmaceuticals, and fertilisers. Contrastingly, this thesis reconsiders and reappraises the hygroscopic effects of common mineral fertilisers, proposing hygroscopicity to beneficially enable quick dissolution under humid air conditions in absence of precipitation. 2. 17. Moisture risks with CLT-panels subjected to outdoor climate during construction : focus on mould and wetting processes

    Kandidat-uppsats, KTH/Byggteknik och design

    Författare :Johan Öberg; Erik Wiege; [2018]
    Nyckelord :moisture; CLT; massive wood; mould; WUFI; drying; construction; weather protection. best practice; fukt; KL-trä; massivt trä; mögel; WUFI; torkning; konstruktion; väderskydd; best practice;

    Sammanfattning : When going through relevant research, moisture safety guidelines and talking to builders, moisture experts and architects it is clear - and not surprising - that water and wood make no easy combination. The experiences from building with cross laminated timber (CLT) differ from building sites and there are good and bad examples building without weather protection. LÄS MER

  3. 18. Moisture Content and Mould Risk in Concrete Outer Walls

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Byggnadsteknik

    Författare :Jóhanna Eir Björnsdóttir; Jóhann Björn Jóhannsson; [2018]
    Nyckelord :External walls; exterior insulation; interior insulation; moisture damage; mould; concrete wall; WUFI;

    Sammanfattning : Previous studies on the typical Icelandic external wall have shown thatcondensation occurs at the interior surface of the concrete and field inspectionshave supported this conclusion. The primary objective ofthis study is to analyse the hygrothermal behaviour of the typical Icelandicwall and evaluate the mould risk at the interior surface of theconcrete. LÄS MER

  4. 19. Rainfall-Runoff Simulation and Modelling Using HEC-HMS and HEC-RAS Models: Case Studies from Nepal and Sweden

    Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Avdelningen för Teknisk vattenresurslära

    Författare :Jeevika Khadka; Jagritee Bhaukajee; [2018]
    Nyckelord :HEC-HMS; HEC-RAS; Kankai; Kävlinge; Rainfall Runoff; Flood Inundation; Modelling; Technology and Engineering;

    Sammanfattning : Floods are probably the most frequent, widespread and disastrous hazards of the world. Almost every year, Sweden and Nepal are affected by floods though their nature and impact differs due to complete different geographical and hydrological setting. LÄS MER

  5. 20. An evaluation of using GPM satellite products to forecast flash floods in mountainous catchments

    Uppsats för yrkesexamina på avancerad nivå, Lunds universitet/Avdelningen för Teknisk vattenresurslära

    Författare :Yihan Chen; [2017]
    Nyckelord :GPM; Han River; Flood; IMERG; Mountain; Technology and Engineering;

    Sammanfattning : NASA's GPM satellite rainfall products IMERG early run and IMERG late run were evaluated for their applicability in flash flood forecasting. The selected catchment was the upper Han River basin, a mountainous catchment with low precipitation in winter and heavy precipitation during summers located in central China. LÄS MER
