  1. 6. Användning av riskbegreppet i en dagvattenkontext : En litteraturstudie om hur riskbegrepp används vid dimensionering av ledningsnät för dagvatten

    Kandidat-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Kemiteknik (CI)

    Författare :Linnea Knutsson; [2023]
    Nyckelord :risk; stormwater network; climate change; infrastructure capacity design; adaption strategy; water and environmental engineering; Technology and Engineering;

    Sammanfattning : Climate change and urbanization is a threat for existing stormwater networks. Many stormwater networks are designed after historical rain data that will fail to predict future events due to large changes in rainfall patterns caused by climate change and urbanization. LÄS MER

  2. 7. Modelling the Occurrence and Fate of Microplastics Caused by Tyre Wear on Highway E18

    Master-uppsats, Uppsala universitet/Luft-, vatten- och landskapslära

    Författare :Aniruddha Kshirsagar; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Tyre Wear Plastics; stormwater system; Microplastics; settling; hetero-aggregation; modelling; Modellering; mikroplaster;

    Sammanfattning : The accumulation of microplastics (MPs) are a growing concern for the environment, the maximum contributor to the MP pollution is tyre wear particles or TWPs. TWPs can accumulate in the environment and remain there for long periods of time and hence have the ability to disrupt ecosystems. LÄS MER

  3. 8. Modelling the risk of rainfall events leading to momentary pollution levels exceeding maximum allowed concentrations - A Swedish case study of urban runoff in the Fyris river

    Uppsats för yrkesexamina på avancerad nivå, Uppsala universitet/Institutionen för geovetenskaper

    Författare :Tove Gannholm Johansson; [2022]
    Nyckelord :urban runoff; flow; rain event; pollution concentration; EQS; MAC-EQS; dagvatten; flöde; regntillfälle; föroreningskoncentration; MKN; MAC-MKN;

    Sammanfattning : The purpose of this study was (1) to study the proportion (X) of the flow in a watercourse that consists of urban runoff during a rain event and (2) to evaluate the risk that a few chosen pollutants, transported by urban runoff, exceed the maximum allowed concentration in the watercourse according to the environmental quality standards (MAC-EQS). The Fyris river in Uppsala, Sweden, was selected as a case study. LÄS MER

  4. 9. How variations of the duration and time to peak of the Chicago Design Storm affect the hydraulic response, as well as the areas contributing to peak runoff, of a synthetic urban catchment area

    Uppsats för yrkesexamina på avancerad nivå, Uppsala universitet/Luft-, vatten- och landskapslära

    Författare :Oskar Ahlstedt; [2022]
    Nyckelord :Avrinningsområde; översvämningsmodellering; peak-bidragande område; hydrograf; hyetograf; MIKE 21; regnintensitet; CDS-regn; Chicago Design Storm;

    Sammanfattning : With an expanding urbanization in the world, and thus the expansion of impermeable surfaces, the risk of pluvial floods is an increasing factor that needs to be considered. This, in combination with increasing rain intensities and frequency of rain events indicates a problem both today and for the future. LÄS MER

  5. 10. The influence of spatial variations in rain intensity for cloudburst modelling : a case study of the Gävle cloudburst

    Uppsats för yrkesexamina på avancerad nivå, Uppsala universitet/Institutionen för geovetenskaper

    Författare :Fanny Jeppsson Stahl; [2022]
    Nyckelord :Flood modelling; pluvial flooding; spatial variations in rain intensity; design storms; MIKE 21 Flow Model FM; 2D hydraulic modelling; Skyfallsmodellering; pluviala översvämningar; spatiala variationer i regnintensitet; typregn; MIKE 21 Flow Model FM;

    Sammanfattning : With an intensification of heavy rain events in a changing climate and a rapid urbanization the risk for pluvial flooding is increasing in our societies. Pluvial flooding, which is formed when the rainfall rate exceeds the infiltration or drainage rate, can occur rapidly and cause great damages, large economic losses and possibly risk human lives.
