21. Data Augmentation for Object Detection using Deep Reinforcement Learning
Uppsats för yrkesexamina på avancerad nivå, Lunds universitet/Institutionen för reglerteknikSammanfattning : Data augmentation is a concept which is used to improve machine learning models for computer vision tasks. It is usually done by firstly, defining a set of functions which transforms images and secondly, applying a random selection of these functions on the images. LÄS MER
22. Automation of manual tasks at Statistics Sweden : Supervised machine learning as proof-of-concept
Master-uppsats, Uppsala universitet/Institutionen för informationsteknologiSammanfattning : Supervised machine learning is used to create a proof-of-concept for automation of manual tasks for Statistics Sweden. The goal of the first part is to classify occupations with an SSYK code using descriptions entered by the employee, the education level of the employee, and their industry. LÄS MER
23. Exploring adaptation of self-supervised representation learning to histopathology images for liver cancer detection
Uppsats för yrkesexamina på avancerad nivå, Luleå tekniska universitet/Institutionen för system- och rymdteknikSammanfattning : This thesis explores adapting self-supervised representation learning to visual domains beyond natural scenes, focusing on medical imaging. The research addresses the central question: "How can self-supervised representation learning be specifically adapted for detecting liver cancer in histopathology images?" The study utilizes the PAIP 2019 dataset for liver cancer segmentation and employs a self-supervised approach based on the VICReg method. LÄS MER
24. Predicting Counter-Strike Matches using Machine Learning Models
Kandidat-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Statistiska institutionenSammanfattning : Sports betting is a widespread industry where predictive modeling play a big role. The goal of this thesis is to explore the possibilities of machine learning within the realm of e-sport prediction. The data used for this thesis is publicly available data was recorded over a three year period. LÄS MER
25. Applications of Random Walks : How Random Walks Are Used in Wilson's Algorithm and How They Connect to Electrical Networks
Master-uppsats, Uppsala universitet/Sannolikhetsteori och kombinatorikSammanfattning : In this master thesis we will show how random walks are used in Wilson's algorithm to generate spanning trees of graphs, and how they can be used to calculate the number of spanning trees in a graph. We will also explore the connection between electrical networks and random walks, and how this connection can be exploited to prove Pólya's theorem (normally proved with probability and combinatorics) using electrical arguments.
