  1. 1. Paleomagnetic and Thermomagnetic Studies on Rock Samples from COSC - 1 Drilling Project

    Master-uppsats, Uppsala universitet/Geofysik

    Författare :Wanyi Li; [2022]
    Nyckelord :Scandinavian Caledonides; remanent magnetization; AF demagnetization; temperature dependent magnetic susceptibility; Skandinaviska Kaledoniderna; remanent magnetism; växelfältsavmagnetisering; temperaturberoende av magnetisk susceptibilitet;

    Sammanfattning : The COSC-1 borehole located in the Lower Seve nappe of the Central Scandinavian Caledonides is intended to study the tectonic evolution of the Paleozoic orogen. The drilling project reached a depth of 2495.8m and obtained samples from different lithologal units of mica schist, amphibolite, gneiss, and mylonitic gneisses. LÄS MER

  2. 2. MAGNETIC CHARACTERIZATION OF SELF-ASSEMBLED ONE-DIMENSIONAL NETWORKS OF MAGNETIC NANOPARTICLES

    Kandidat-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Synkrotronljusfysik; Lunds universitet/Fysiska institutionen

    Författare :Mario Salvador López Muñoz; [2019]
    Nyckelord :Nanomagnetism; Stoner-Wohlfarth; Magnetite Fe3O4; nanoparticles; Magnetic Characterization; Spark Discharge Technique; Physics and Astronomy;

    Sammanfattning : In this thesis, a magnetic study of two dierent arrangements of Fe3O4 nanoparticles is presented. The nanoparticles are generated using an aerosol technique and guided onto a substrate. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Pollen-stratigraphic position of the last Baltic Ice Lake drainage

    Magister-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Geologiska institutionen

    Författare :Felicia Dobos; [1997]
    Nyckelord :Baltic Ice Lake; second drainage; Preboreal; Younger Dryas; pollen stratigraphy; mineral magnetic content; total carbon content; Blekinge; Sweden; Earth and Environmental Sciences;

    Sammanfattning : High-resolution analyses of sediments from two sites in Blekinge, south-eastern Sweden (the former Lake Togölen and Lake Bredsjön), were evaluated in order to establish the pollenstratigraphical position of the second and final drainage of the Baltic Ice Lake in relation to the Younger Dryas-Preboreal pollen zone transition. Remanent magnetisation and magnetic susceptibility were used to correlate between parallel cores and to evaluate the amount of inorganic allochthonous material. LÄS MER
