  1. 6. Hyperspectral and multispectral satellite data analysis of nitrogen in grazed and ungrazed tundra in Långfjället, Sweden

    Master-uppsats, Göteborgs universitet/Institutionen för geovetenskaper

    Författare :Emma Dahlstedt; [2023-08-18]
    Nyckelord :Hyperspectral imaging; Imaging spectroscopy; Nitrogen; Reindeer; Herbivory; Tundra; Grazing;

    Sammanfattning : Reindeer are a keystone species in the circumpolar north, where they hold great cultural and ecological importance. Continued climate change threatens the long-term sustainability of reindeer husbandry. Reindeer can affect the tundra landscape, influencing the soil nutrient cycling, including the soil nitrogen availability. LÄS MER

  2. 7. CHANGES IN URBAN GREENERY DURING THE 2018 HEAT WAVE – A CASE STUDY FOR GÖTEBORG USING REMOTE SENSING

    Master-uppsats, Göteborgs universitet / Institutionen för biologi och miljövetenskap

    Författare :Ivan Ruzic; [2023-06-21]
    Nyckelord :heat wave; urban trees; NDVI; remote sensing;

    Sammanfattning : Urban vegetation plays a crucial role in diverse urban microclimates. The numerous ecosystem services provided by vegetation, particularly trees, ensure greater quality of life and thermal comfort regulation. Yet, not all trees are immune to extreme weather events, such as droughts and heat waves, especially in cities. LÄS MER

  3. 8. A Structural Analysis of the Fracture Sets in Gothenburg, Sweden: A Remote Sensing and Manual Lineament Approach

    Master-uppsats, Göteborgs universitet/Institutionen för geovetenskaper

    Författare :Jacek Krysik; [2023-05-22]
    Nyckelord :Remote sensing; Manual lineament analysis; Fractal analysis; Structural; Regional geology; LiDAR; Gothenburg region;

    Sammanfattning : The fracture-valley landscape within the Gothenburg region was analysed based on LiDAR-derived hillshade images as well as several sources of orthomosaics. Using a manual lineament interpretation approach and complimented with an objective fractal analysis software (FROST), the objective of the study was to characterise the regional fracture sets as well as attempt to link the sets to the complex regional geological history. 4. 9. The impact of CO2 fertilisation on foliage in West and East Africa

    Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Institutionen för naturgeografi och ekosystemvetenskap

    Författare :Gaetane Demyttenaere; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Physical geography and ecosystem analysis; CO2 fertilisation; semi-arid ecosystems; remote sensing; Normalised Difference Vegetation Index; Earth and Environmental Sciences;

    Sammanfattning : Anthropogenic impact on terrestrial ecosystems continues to grow as we further enhance atmospheric Carbon Dioxide (CO₂) concentrations. The changing climatic conditions and direct influence of CO₂ on vegetation has a big impact on ecosystem functions. LÄS MER

  5. 10. Monthly heatwave prediction in Sweden based on Machine Learning techniques with remote sensing data

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Hållbar utveckling, miljövetenskap och teknik

    Författare :Zhuoran Li; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Heatwave Prediction; Sweden; Machine Learning; Remote Sensing Data; Värmebölja förutsägelse; Sverige; Maskininlärning; Fjärravkänningsdata;

    Sammanfattning : Heatwave events as a kind of extreme climate event, have plagued the human race for the past few years. It severely influences people’s life quality, sometimes even leads to some serious diseases. In order to alleviate the possible damages heatwave events can do, some targeted actions are necessary and forecasting heatwaves is one of them. LÄS MER
