  1. 1. THE FIRST ACTIVE ACID SULFATE SOIL FOUND OUTSIDE THE BALTIC BASIN, IN VISKA VALLEY WEST COAST OF SWEDEN

    Master-uppsats, Göteborgs universitet/Institutionen för geovetenskaper

    Författare :Johanna Bergström; [2023-09-15]
    Nyckelord :Acid sulfate soil; AS soil; ERT measurements; resistivity; Baltic basin; Swedish west coast; acidification; Tapes transgression;

    Sammanfattning : Acid sulfate (AS) soils are naturally formed but are responsible for environmental problem due to its low pH. Drainage of active AS soils can lead to mobilization of harmful metals and a severe pH drop in nearby aquatic environments, which in turn may harm the ecological conditions. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Geological 3D Modelling ofthe File Hajdar Quarry, Slite

    Master-uppsats, Uppsala universitet/Institutionen för geovetenskaper

    Författare :Friberg Nils; [2023]
    Nyckelord :3D-modelling; Cementa; limestone; resistivity; Gotland; 3D-modellering; Cementa; kalksten; resistivitet; Gotland;

    Sammanfattning : Located on the island of Gotland, Sweden, the File Hajdar limestone quarry is an important locality for domestic cement production. With depositional settings generally related to shallow sea carbonate ramps, the lithologies encountered on File Hajdar range from reef-associated limestone units to more basinal deposition of marls. 3. 3. 3D modelling and resistivity measurements for hydrogeological assessments in the northern part of Vombsänkan

    Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Geologiska institutionen

    Författare :Farid Khorshidian; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Conceptual 3D modelling; Resistivity; Hydrogeology; Blue Transition; Vombsänkan; Vombverket; Earth and Environmental Sciences;

    Sammanfattning : The geology of Vombsänkan is characterized by a complex sequence of Quaternary deposits overlying the Paleozoic sedimentary bedrock. The area is 759 km2 and has recorded several ice advances followed by glacial retreats and ice melting. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Enhancing Geophysical Applications with Electrical Resistivity Tomography Inversion : Uncovering the mysteries that lies beneath us

    Uppsats för yrkesexamina på avancerad nivå, Umeå universitet/Institutionen för fysik

    Författare :Anton Morian; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Resistivity inversion; Filtering; 3D visualisation;

    Sammanfattning : Geophysical methods have been widely used to investigate the subsurface in various ap-plications, such as mineral exploration, geotechnical and environmental studies. Among these methods, electrical resistivity tomography (ERT) has gained popularity due to its non-invasive and high-resolution capability in mapping subsurface resistivity variations. LÄS MER

  5. 5. First principles investigation of the thermal conductivity of Zr, ZrC, and ZrN

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Fysik

    Författare :Daniel Karlsson; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Electron-phonon interaction; Density functional theory; Boltzmann transport equation; first-principles; thermal conductivity; electrical resistivity; Abinit; Phono3py; Elektron-fononväxelverkan; täthetsfunktionalteori; Boltzmanns transportekvation; värmeledningsförmåga; elektrisk resistivitet; Abinit; Phono3py;

    Sammanfattning : The thermal conductivity and electrical resistivity of Zr, ZrC, and ZrN were calculated using first-principles density functional theory (DFT) and the Boltzmann transport equation. The electron-phonon scattering was modeled via the self-energy relaxation time approximation (SERTA), and the phonon-phonon scattering via the analogous single-mode relaxation time approximation (SMRTA).
