  1. 1. Bläckborttagning från ben med hjälp av geler En kvantitativ studie för bläckborttagning på björnbäcken och björnkranium från Naturhistoriska riksmuseet

    Kandidat-uppsats, Göteborgs universitet/Institutionen för kulturvård

    Författare :Engla Nordin; [2023-11-07]
    Nyckelord :Conservation; reversibility; bones; FTIR; nanogels; hydrogels; ink.;

    Sammanfattning : This bachelor's thesis has investigated four different hydrogels loaded in different solvents efficiency to remove unknown ink from four pelvic bones and one skull from five bear individuals that belongs to The Swedish Museum of Natural History. The experimental part of the thesis consists of an FTIR analysis together with microscopy and macroscopy analysis of the ink on the bear skeletons, as well as some tests of different gel-solvent combinations on a moose skull. 2. 2. Protein-based hydrogel electrolytes for stretchable Zn-ion batteries

    Master-uppsats, Linköpings universitet/Laboratoriet för organisk elektronik; Linköpings universitet/Tekniska fakulteten

    Författare :Lovisa Byström; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Hydrogel; gelatin; kappa-carrangeenan; Zn-ion battery; Kemisk biologi; Kemisk biologi;

    Sammanfattning : Stretchable aqueous-based Zn-ion batteries have shown promise as a sustainable and safe energy storage system for wearable electronics used in healthcare, sports, soft robotics, and prosthetics. A battery consists of the active electrode, electrolyte, current collector, and encapsulation. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Method Application of PST-Removal On Pressure-Sensitive Adhesive Laminated Paper: An Experimental Case Study

    Kandidat-uppsats, Göteborgs universitet/Institutionen för kulturvård

    Författare :Johan Norrman; [2022-11-03]
    Nyckelord :paper conservation; laminated paper; pressure-sensitive adhesive lamination; delamination; methodology;

    Sammanfattning : In this thesis the plausibility of applying methods and techniques for the removal of pressure-sensitive tapes (PSTs) in the delamination of pressure-sensitive adhesive laminations (PSA-laminations) is examined. The thesis also addresses if delamination is necessary and can be justified in regards to conservation theory, abiding to the concepts and notions of balance between material retention and material loss, reversibility, authenticity, and minimal intervention. 4. 4. Challenging conservation principles Valuation of a graffiti mural by Carolina Falkholt

    Master-uppsats, Göteborgs universitet/Institutionen för kulturvård

    Författare :Susanna Barros Eriksson; [2022-07-05]
    Nyckelord :Graffiti; conservation; valuation; principles; murals;

    Sammanfattning : The main area of research in this thesis is valuation of graffiti and street art, and the application of conservation theories on murals grounded in the graffiti culture. The conflict between traditional conservation principles and the ephemerality of graffiti as a potential significant value is an essential part of this research, that strives to identify the factors and values related to these artworks. 5. 5. TILLSTÅNDSBEDÖMNINGAR En metodutveckling med sidenfragment från Birka som utgångspunkt

    Kandidat-uppsats, Göteborgs universitet/Institutionen för kulturvård

    Författare :Gabrielle Weststeyn; [2022-07-05]
    Nyckelord :archaeological textile conservation; condition assessment; decision-making in collection management; Micro Reflectance Transformation Imaging micro-RTI ; statement of significance;

    Sammanfattning : Despite being an indispensable assessment tool and an ethical obligation in the conservation of cultural heritage, traditional condition assessments encompass several shortcomings that reduce their ability to act as substantiated and unambiguous support for decision-making related to interventive and preventive conservation treatments. Integrating opposing theories in the conservation of cultural heritage generates a method that intends to resolve these shortcomings. LÄS MER
