1. Using a GIS to enable an economic, land use and energy output comparison between small wind powered turbines and large-scale wind farms: the case of Oslo, Norway.
Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Institutionen för naturgeografi och ekosystemvetenskapSammanfattning : Responding to an identified knowledge gap, the study aims to determine if smaller wind turbines located on top of existing urban buildings are more resource efficient (land utilization and economically) than large scale wind farms. To answer this question, using a GIS, the resource efficiency of the Roan wind farm in Northern Norway was compared to a theoretical modeled installation of small-scale wind turbines on top of buildings within a 2km radius study zone in central Oslo. 2. CFD Analysis of Engine Room Temperature : CFD Analysis of Engine Room Temperature: Case study The Grange Castle Power Plant Project
Master-uppsats, Högskolan i Gävle/Avdelningen för byggnadsteknik, energisystem och miljövetenskapSammanfattning : Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) has emerged as an indispensable tool in various engineering fields, particularly in the design and optimization of HVAC systems in complex environments, such as engine rooms. This paper presents a comprehensive overview of CFD applications and focuses on the engine rooms of the Grange Castle Power Plant in Dublin, Ireland. LÄS MER
3. Application of Machine Learning Algorithms for Post Processing of Reference Sensors
Master-uppsats, Göteborgs universitet/Institutionen för data- och informationsteknikSammanfattning : The Autonomous Drive (AD) systems and Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) in the current and future generations of vehicles include a large number of sensors which are used to perceive the vehicle’s surroundings. The production sensors of these vehicles are verified and validated against reference data that are originated from high-accurate reference sensors that are placed in a reference roof box at the top of the vehicle. 4. Evaluating the roll performance of a hydraulic-interconnected suspension system for an electric bus
Master-uppsats, KTH/Väg- och spårfordon samt konceptuell fordonsdesignSammanfattning : Electric buses often have batteries installed on the roof structure to have a better space utilization. This increases the height of the centre of gravity of the vehicle, affecting its roll stability. The existing vehicle setup uses an anti-roll bar to provide the roll stiffness. LÄS MER
5. Instability of tie rod trusses of glulam
Master-uppsats, KTH/Bro- och stålbyggnadSammanfattning : Many buildings today primarily serve the purpose of being envelopes that separate theindoor climate from the outdoors, for a large open area. Examples of these buildings arehall buildings of different sorts. LÄS MER
