    Sammanfattning : Det Prydliga förvaltningsidealets rötter har spårats till slutet av 1800-talet och industrialismen framfart, där statsförvaltare kom att börja prioritera upprätthållandet av mer prydliga och välvårdade grönområden (Nolin 1999; Byggnadsstadga 1874).
